A compilation of Noise and Sound Artists within the 910 area code, which is the North Carolina coastal area, including Wilmington, NC, the home of Squidco. Artists include our very own Carl Kruger (as himself, Caucasians, Baby Daddy), Grant Stewart as subterrene, Ryan Lewis in Food World and Baby Daddy, Phil Zampino (CHANGES TO blind), Jason Ward, August Traeger, and Authorless.

The 910 Noise community is a great example of the unleashed energy found in so many small cities, where like-minded yet diverse sound artists find each other and join together in collective form. This community connects to the history of cassette culture and the early days of industrial sound and noise research, expanding both the scope and the audio quality of what's come before it. It has also spawned a number of labels familar to Squidco listeners, including Bicepahalic, ACK, Obscura, and connects to labels like Aubjects, Intangible Cat, and Sonic Arts Network.

The music on this release includes examples of organized sound, electroacoustic, sound and noise, audio collage, modular synthetics, and other indescribable creative approaches to noise and rhythm. It is a great cross-section of the investigative nature of current practicioners, and a great introduction to this coastal region's exploratory side.
