"Coming out of the same session as the elusive Sagittarius A-Star "Primal Waters" release, this document captures the only trio recording of the band after they started playing with Faruq Z. Bey in 2000. Unfortunately, this same date documents some of the last music Northwoods made with Faruq before he departed in 2012. We are thankful Mike Johnston noticed the magic happening early enough on this 8/4/2011 session to hit the record button before the horns arrived from Detroit. Decades of working together offered a bit of relaxed informality as they jammed on some of the music they planned to record during the session. Nothing added, nothing removed. Playing for the joy of it. Playing for the love of it."-Copy This!"
