"Solodja is one of the most important musicians in Burkina Faso in West Africa. A blind guitar player who's amazing musical talent took him from begging on the streets as a kid to being a treasured artist in his country. Reminiscent of Fraka Ali Toure with whom he created his own style with in improvisatory flare and a beautiful deep voice. SoloDja has never realeased any music in the western world but we beleave this release will give him some of recognition he deserves. The CD was recorded in his home in Ougadougou by Assif Tsahar after a festival where they met. The CD is a must for anyone with love to African music."-Hop Scotch

He creates music in the style of world music based on the West African musical tradition with socially oriented lyrics. He is blind and is committed to combating blindness in his homeland."
