"Cochrane/Popejoy is a new duo of Chris Cochrane on guitar and Stuart Popejoy on bass, forging a new sound from Frippian drones and ambient wails emanating from heavy distortion and processing. Captured from live improvised performances where feedback and resonators give way to miniature motives operating like minimalist pop mantras, the music is a modern reconfiguration of sonic and psychedelic impulses arising from the improvisational event, and coming out of cross-pollinations with other NYC noise-rock-improv configurations of the two as individuals with the likes of Kid Millions, Gordon Beeferman, Sarah Bernstein, Mick Barr, Brian Chase, Marc Ribot, Zeena Parkins, and John Zorn."-Infrequent Seams
