"Álvaro Domene is a Madrid-born, New York based guitarist and composer operating at the convergence of various styles of contemporary creative music. His sound and compositions are influenced by the avant-garde jazz and western contemporary classical traditions, as well as metal music. "Born in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, but raised in the D.C. suburb of Vienna, Virginia, guitarist Anthony Pirog first came to national prominence as one half of the instrumental duo Janel & Anthony, with virtuoso cellist Janel Leppin. The pair's 2012 Cuneiform release Where Is Home garnered critical acclaim for their seamless electro-acoustic fusion of myriad styles, ranging from classical and folk to rock and jazz. Pirog's own multi-faceted approach to the guitar has its roots in the music of regional favorites like Danny Gatton, whose virtuosic fretwork similarly combined numerous styles of popular music.

Pirog has performed with a wide variety of musicians, ranging from avant-garde icons like Henry Kaiser, Elliott Sharp and William Hooker to roots and rockabilly legends such as Billy Hancock, Bill Kitchen and Tab Benoit. "David Watson (born 1960) is a musician originally from New Zealand. Watson has lived and worked in New York City since 1987. Originally known as a guitarist, since 1991 Watson's work has also featured new music for the Highland Bagpipes.

Before moving to New York, while in New Zealand in the 1980s, Watson co-founded Braille Records to document the local experimental music scene. He organized national improvisation festivals (Off the Deep End, in 1984 and 1985) and in 2001 started the Artspace/alt.music festival to present new experimental music in Auckland.

Watson's work includes regular performances with MacArthur Award winner John Zorn; ongoing recording projects with Lee Ranaldo and Christian Marclay; a premier performance of a Robert Ashley work in New York; performances in Europe with rock-minimalism pioneer Rhys Chatham ; recording project with downtown drum legend Jonathan Kane; performances with Zeena Parkins at Brooklyn Academy of Music and a score for Jeremy Nelson Dance.

Watson released his disc Throats - with vocalists Makigami Koichi and Shelley Hirsch - on Ecstatic Peace; and a double CD Fingering an Idea, on Phill Niblock's XI Records to critical acclaim. Together with Tony Buck and Ranaldo he formed the band Glacial. In 2010 Ranaldo released the solo album Maelstrom From Drift on Three Lobed Recordings with guest appearances of Tony Buck and David Watson. The band released On Jones Beach In 2012."

"[...] Devi fell in love with electric guitar as a girl, listening to her teenage neighbor play Led Zeppelin while he worked on his car, and her brother's rock albums. "I always sang the guitar solos, instead of the lyrics," Devi says. Growing up in that Milwaukee suburb, though, she got the message that only boys played in bands.

When she saw Bonnie Raitt perform in college, Devi couldn't stifle her longing to play anymore. She bought a Fender Mustang at a pawnshop and moved to NYC. There, Devi joined punk bands, touring the US, Canada and Europe.

As a solo artist, though, Devi created a classic rock-meets-Americana sound that enabled her to indulge her love of guitar solos. Devi's self-produced debut, Get Free (True Nature Records/Redeye), received raves from Vintage Guitar, Jambase, Marie Claire (Italy), Guitar International.

Devi returned to the studio to produce her Wild Little Girl EP. "Wild LIttle Girl reflects my desire to encourage girls and women to be creative and free, and fulfill their potential," Devi says.

Devi is also the author of the popular blues glossary The Language of the Blues: From Alcorub to Zuzu (foreword by Dr. John), which won the ASCAP Deems Taylor Award for outstanding book on music. "Derek Gripper began his formal musical training at the age of six on the violin. After studying classical music for the next thirteen years he began to look further afield for musical inspiration. This search took him to India where he studied South Indian Carnatic music. On his return to South Africa he decided to focus on the guitar, trying to find a new direction for the instrument. He was attracted to the use of multiple layers in the music of Oliver Messiaen, the African-influenced structures of Steve Reich, as well as to guitar arrangements of the music of J.S.Bach. But it was when he met up with Cape Jazz trumpeter Alex van Heerden that he started to see that his previous studies could be used to find new directions for the music of the Western Cape. The two musician's first recording in 2002, Sagtevlei, laid the groundwork for an entirely new Cape music, a music that the press called "avant-goema." Here for the first time the compositional techniques of contemporary classical music where used to support the melodic and improvisational nature of Goema, the carnival music of Cape Town. This recording laid the groundwork for his first solo album, Blomdoorns, a series of compositions on an experimental eight-string guitar. Here the rhythms he had heard in India combined with Cape style melodies and cyclical motives in a simplified guitar language that was entirely unique yet unmistakeably influenced by the Cape's rich and diverse musical history. Over the next few years he further developed this musical language, switching to the traditional six-string guitar in 2004. After exprimenting once more with the possiblities of classical music, he settled into performing only this New Cape music, using a guitar by the great German Luthier Hermann Hauser III. The 2008 CD "Ayo" documents the first series of compositions for this instrument, exhibiting the influence of musicians such as Brazil's Egberto Gismonti and Mali's Toumani Diabate. It could be said that the music that Gripper creates is South Africa's answer to musicians such as Gismonti and Heitor Villa Lobos: classical trained musicians from the "South" who have used their skills to develop new directions in the music of their home countries. It is also interesting to note that many of the European or American composers that he was initially attracted to were profoundly influenced by African music, using its complex cyclical structures and collectivity as the basis for new movements in twentieth century music."

"Harvey Valdes, is a NYC based guitarist, oud player, and composer. He is known for his exploration of the solo voice, adventurous take on harmony, and genre fluidity. His work spans Broadway, experimental theater, solo guitar, Middle Eastern music, popular styles, and film.

Harvey has released three albums of his own. On his solo album, Roundabout, he takes a pianistic approach to radically reshaping jazz standards with complex counterpoint and moments of spontaneous re-composition. All About Jazz praised, "His approach is undeniably clever."

The seven tracks on his second album, PointCounterPoint, are full of rhythmically driven contrapuntal action and intervallic writing. JAZZIZ Magazine writes, "Links between the Brooklyn-based Harvey Valdes Trio and McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra go beyond the dual frontline of distorted electric guitar and violin set to thundering drumbeats. They also include odd meters, jigsaw melodies, and a slashing fusion-like energy aimed at jolting listeners out of complacency."

His third album of solo improvised guitar pieces, Solitude Intones Its Echo, is a mosaic of 18 melody-laced tracks which have a quality of concentrated intimacy. Guitarist and studio ace David Torn mixed and mastered the album and Guitar Moderne featured it as a Record Pick saying, "Valdes' recording reveals him as a master of concision. His 18 short, lyrical, solo electric guitar performances of compelling compositions hook you and leave, well before wearing out their welcome."

On Broadway, he held the guitar/oud chair for the 10 Tony and Grammy winning Broadway musical The Band's Visit. In this role he also performed on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert, The Tony Awards, The Tonight Show and received an Emmy, along with the ensemble cast, for their performance on Good Morning America. He has also played on hit Broadway shows including The Book of Mormon, Come From Away, and Tootsie.

Other theater work includes the European and U.S. tour with experimental theater The Wooster Group for their production of Francesco Cavalli's 1641 opera La Didone, playing electric guitar and guitar synth.

His score for Utopians, which premiered at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival, constituted "one of the longest-lasting guitar improvisations since [Neil Young's score for] Dead Man." He has also composed music for the award winning short film, Talking Piece, and the forthcoming We Got This.

As a sideman he has performed in a wide range of styles at venues from Lincoln Center to the Stone with artists including Alan Chan Big Band, Rhys Chatham's A Crimson Grail, Karl Berger's Improvisor's Orchestra, Butch Morris NuBlu Orchestra, Harel Shachal and Anistar, Sean Sonderegger's Magically Inclined, Vlada Tomova's Balkan Tales, and others."

"Jerome Harris has won international recognition as one of the more versatile and penetrating stylists of his generation on both guitar and bass guitar.

Jerome's first major professional performances were as bass guitarist with Sonny Rollins in 1978; from 1988 to 1994 he was Rollins' guitarist, and appears on five of his recordings. Over the past two decades, Jerome has also recorded and/or performed live on six continents with such jazz notables as Jack DeJohnette, Bill Frisell, Ray Anderson, Don Byron, Bobby Previte, Oliver Lake, Amina Claudine Myers, Bob Stewart, George Russell, Julius Hemphill, and Bob Moses.

His extensive international work has included several stints in Japan with Sonny Rollins, as well as tours sponsored by the U.S. State Department: to six southeastern African countries with saxophonist Sam Newsome and guitarist Marvin Sewell, to India and southeast Asia with flutist Jamie Baum and guitarist Kenny Wessel, to India and several Middle Eastern countries with vibraphonist Jay Hoggard's group, and to five African nations with saxophonist Oliver Lake's reggae/jazz/funk band "Jump Up."

In 1999, Harris served as arranger, rhythm guitarist and assistant to musical director Vernon Reid in the "Joni's Jazz" tribute concert staged in New York's Central Park--with Joni Mitchell herself in attendance--accompanying singers as diverse in style as Chaka Khan, Jane Siberry, Duncan Sheik and P.M. Dawn. Other Harris credits include a Broadway stint as guitarist in the South African R&B/rock musical Kat and the Kings, as well as work on industrial, commercial and film score dates for Galen Communications Group, Rick Lyon Music, and Richard Eisenstein.

Over the years, Jerome Harris has appeared on more than fifty recordings, making for a lengthy and wide-ranging discography. His most recent CD as a leader is Rendezvous--the first-ever jazz release by the audio connoisseur magazine Stereophile--which captures the drive and grace of his quintet in gorgeous high-resolution sound. On Hidden in Plain View (New World), Jerome's acoustic bass guitar underpins an all-star group reinterpreting compositions by jazz trailblazer Eric Dolphy. In Passing (Muse) showcases the first of Jerome's groups to utilize a reeds-trombone-vibes-bass-drums line-up. Jerome's debut as a leader was Algorithms (Minor Music), featuring saxophonist Marty Ehrlich, who has also appeared on the three subsequent Harris releases.

Jerome Harris conceived and organized "Living Time": George Russell's Musical Life and Legacy, an in-depth examination of the work and life of legendary composer/bandleader/theorist/educator George Russell (1923-2009). While Russell's innovative music, challenging ideas and pivotal position in jazz history have been celebrated around the world, he remains somewhat under-recognized in the United States. This event provided a major appraisal of Russell's multi-faceted career and his important contributions to African American improvisational art music. Panelists included David Baker, Gary Giddins, Cameron Brown, Joe Hunt, Stanton Davis, Marty Ehrlich, Ken Schaphorst, Ben Schwendener and Russell biographer Duncan Heining. Professors Ingrid Monson of Harvard and John Howland of Rutgers served as panel moderators. The event was presented by Boston's New England Conservatory of Music on March 21, 2010, as part of its celebration of the 40th anniversary of its jazz studies program, the first fully accredited jazz program at a music conservatory; George Russell taught at NEC from 1969 to 2004.

Harris's scholarly interests have led to an essay, "Jazz on the Global Stage," published in the anthology The African Diaspora: A Musical Perspective, edited by Ingrid Monson (Garland). In this study, he offers an insider's view of the history, present state and future implications of the spread and flourishing of jazz in locales far from its African-American birthplace. He is currently (fall 2009; 2007-2008) adjunct Assistant Professor of Music at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, teaching courses on the history and social context of jazz and blues.

Born and raised in New York, Jerome began his instrument studies on accordion, then played violin in a middle-school orchestra. Self-taught on guitar as well as bass guitar, as a teenager he immersed himself in a broad range of musics--rock, pop, blues, country, gospel, folk and R&B--as both fan and player.

After earning a B.A. in psychology and social relations at Harvard College in 1973, Harris attended New England Conservatory of Music as a scholarship student in jazz guitar. He graduated with honors in 1977.

In addition to his work on guitar and bass guitar, Jerome performs as a singer, has done voice-over work for audio production houses, and studies several percussion instruments."

"Based in Brooklyn New York, guitarist / composer Liberty Ellman has performed and or recorded with a host of stand out creative artists including: Joe Lovano, Myra Melford, Wadada Leo Smith, Butch Morris, Vijay Iyer, Steve Lehman, Greg Osby, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Nels Cline, Somi, Matana Roberts, Ledisi, Michele Rosewoman, Adam Rudolph, Josh Roseman, Barney McAll, Okkyung Lee, Steven Bernstein, Ben Goldberg and John Zorn. In 2014 Ellman worked with Jason Moran on Luanda Kinshasa, a video installation by visionary filmmaker Stan Douglas.

Mr. Ellman is perhaps best known for his long tenure in Henry Threadgill's groundbreaking ensemble, Zooid. The group has recorded several critically lauded albums. Their most recent recording "In For A Penny, In For A Pound" earned a Pulitzer prize for Mr. Threadgill. In addition to playing guitar, Mr. Ellman is credited as producer and mixing engineer on that recording. He has mixed and mastered many other recordings as well, including Gregory Porter's "Be Good," which was nominated for a Grammy.

Ellman has released 4 of his own critically acclaimed albums: Orthodoxy, Tactiles, Ophiuchus Butterfly, and 2015's Radiate on Pi Recordings. His compositional style has been described as "At once highly controlled and recklessly inventive," and the Wall Street Journal said: "Ellman, along with his peers, is helping to define post millennial jazz." Voted #1 Rising Star Guitarist in the 2016 Downbeat Critics Poll, he was also honored in the 2015 Jazz Times expanded critics poll, as one of the four guitarists of the year alongside Bill Frisell, John Scofield and Julian Lage.

Liberty Ellman has also worked beyond the jazz world: hip hop artists Midnight Voices, and The Coup, dance producer DJ Joe Claussell, and worked on remixes of N'Dea Davenport, Chico Freeman, Ann Dyer, Ayo and others. He also made an appearance on the Grammy nominated Groove Collective record, People People Music Music."

"Matteo Liberatore is a boundary-pushing guitarist and composer working at the intersection of free, contemporary classical, electronic, and noise music. Based in Brooklyn, Liberatore spent much of his life in the medieval region of Abruzzo, Italy, amidst dramatic landscapes reflected in a playing and composing style of "unsettling beauty" and "striking physicality" (The New York City Jazz Record).

Matteo is known for his nuanced treatment of timbre, texture, gestures, and rhythms, and his work aims to convey precise musical ideas--whether through the elegant immediacy of unadorned instrumentation or the affecting dislocations of electronics and preparations. The latter approach can be heard in his first solo album--aptly titled Solos--released on Innova Recordings in 2018: "This is not just sonic novelty or gratuitous use of extended techniques; each of the pieces, while largely improvised, [has] clarity and purpose" (Avant Music News). Solos was included in Ted Gioia's best albums of 2018.

An active member of New York's improv scene, Liberatore has performed with Ralph Alessi, Elliott Sharp, Tony Malaby, Ingrid Laubrock, Jon Irabagon, Tom Rainey, Nina Dante, Brian Chase, Andrea Parkins, Ava Mendoza, Amirtha Kidambi, Sandy Ewen, Weasel Walter, Joanna Mattrey, Brandon Lopez, Carlo Costa, and Michael Foster. Liberatore also partners with performance artists and dancers such as Dia Dearstyne and Rachel Mckinstry.

In his formative years Liberatore studied classical guitar under Maestro Marco Salcito at Conservatorio di Foggia; obtained his M.M. in Jazz Performance at NYU, working with Jean-Michael Pilc, Wayne Krantz, and Peter Bernstein; and toured the U.S. and Europe in art-rock and electropop projects such as Una Lux, with a debut EP produced by former Sonic Youth producer Nick Sansano and reviewed favorably by NPR, WNYC, and Magnum Magazine."

Baggetta's most recent project, mssv, is a post-genre power trio featuring the iconoclastic rhythm team of drummer Stephen Hodges and bassist Mike Watt. They have just released their self-titled debut studio album, Main Steam Stop Valve, on BIG EGO Records, following up last year's Live Flowers album on Striped Light Records, recorded live in Philadelphia, PA and Northampton, MA. This band grew out of Baggetta's previous album, also on BIG EGO, Wall of Flowers, which featured a reimagining of his music alongside an unlikely, bound to be legendary, rhythm team pairing of bassist Mike Watt and drummer Jim Keltner. His prior 4 albums as a leader have been released on the Fresh Sound New Talent label, including Spectre, chosen as best of 2016 by Guitar Moderne and New York City Jazz Record, among others, and have featured working bands including Jerome Harris, Billy Mintz, Jason Rigby, Eivind Opsvik, George Schuller and RJ Miller. "Norman Westberg is a guitarist from Detroit best known for his work with Swans. Present through almost the entirety of the band's existence, Westberg was brought on for Swans' debut album Filth (1983) and appeared on every album through 1991's White Light from the Mouth of Infinity (he also played on the 1995 album The Great Annihilator). Westberg became a full-time Swans member once again when Michael Gira reactivated the group in 2010.

Westberg's playing can also be heard on many Swans side projects including The Body Haters and solo albums by Jarboe. Before Swans he was a member of Carnival Crash. Westberg was for a short-time a member of The Heroine Sheiks with Shannon Selberg (ex-The Cows) as well as John Fell (ex-China Shop). Aside from the present incarnation of Swans he currently plays in the NYC bands NeVAh (with Vinnie Signorelli & Algis Kizys) and Five Dollar Priest (formerly Size Queens) (with Ron Ward of Speedball Baby & Bob Bert among others). He also appeared (credited as Norman Westburg) in a short film The Right Side of My Brain directed by Richard Kern and starring Lydia Lunch.

On February 25, 2012, Westberg made two limited edition solo releases available at his webstore. Plough is a four-track EP recorded from 2006 to 2009 and features Westberg coupling guitar with banjo and DX drum machine. Limited Edition of 75 features one fifteen-minute-long ambient piece and is packaged in one-of-a-kind imagery--each disk being decorated with a unique MRI from a CD Westberg was given in hospital. Both CD-Rs are packaged in handmade sleeves: Plough with a signed inner and Limited Edition of 75 signed and numbered on the disk itself.

In February 2014 Westberg released a third limited edition solo CD entitled 13, which was then reissued through the ROOM40 record label on November 13, 2015.

In 2014, Westberg joined with Mark Shippy (U.S. Maple), Jim Sykes (Invisible Things), Matthew Wascovich (Scarcity Of Tanks), and Mike Watt (Minutemen) to form the art rock project band Hidden Rifles. Their debut album, Across The Neighborhoods, was released in October 2017."

Philip L'Epee, aka Frédéric L'Épée: "Self taught guitarist, my musical career starts in 1974 founding the progressive rock band Shylock (2 LP for CBS records, since reissued on CD in 1994 and 1996 by Musea records). Shylock disbanded in 1979, but reunited in 2012 to perform in festivals.From 1984 to 1988, I studied composition, harmony, counterpoint and fugue at the Nice Conservatory, awarded First Prize in 1988.

Interested in Steve Reich's works, I founded in 1987 the electric guitar ensemble Philharmonie within which I worked on contrapuntal combinations techniques initiated by this composer.In 1995, I created for my students the Nice Guitar Cercle, a 14 members group, performing as well baroque music (Bach, Vivaldi, Couperin), rock music (Led Zeppelin, Brian Eno, Fred Frith) as contemporary minimalists music (Steve Reich, Terry Riley).

In 2000 I created, with the guitarist Serge Pesce, the G.L.I. (Groupement de Libres Improvisateurs - Free improvisers group) organizing performances and workshops. During this period of time, I began solo improvised performances in Art Centers as well as solo concerts in clubs and venues around Nice.

I founded in 2002 the band Yang (2 guitars, bass and drums - 1 CD Cuneiform Records, 2 CD Yang Music).

From 2003 to 2013, I lived and teached in Paris where I initiated electric guitar workshops in La Cité de la Musique.

"Sensory Irritation Chamber" on May 18, 2018 on Glenn Branca's SYSTEMS NEUTRALIZERS label, where she delves deeper into her frenetic, atonal, dissonant, angular screechscape. This is the follow-up to her 2015 critically acclaimed debut "Theme from an Imaginary Slasher".Long-time member of Branca's Ensemble and founder of The Paranoid Critical Revolution, Reg began performing as a solo artist in 2014, including at The Red Bull Music Academy New York Festival 2014; at the OFF Festival in 2014, as well as sharing bills with such artists as Onieda, Stephen Omalley, Krallice and God Is My Co-Pilot. She was named by Brad Cohan of the New York Observer one of the 15 Best Metal Bands in NYC. She can also occasionally be found playing in a cataclysmically unhinged duo with legendary free jazz drummer Marc Edwards.

Reg emerged from the Neo-No Wave scene of the 1990s with the Boston-based band TWITCHER who released on CD "Leg of Lamb of God". They performing all over the Northeastern United States on bills with such bands as Melt Banana, Arab On Radar and The Flying Luttenbachers, as well as appearing on the soundtrack to the TROMA film "TERROR FIRMER" directed by the legendary Lloyd Kaufman.

She moved to NYC in 1999 and began working with legendary avant garde composer Glenn Branca with whom she recorded and toured the world for 18 years. She performed in his Symphony No. 12, as concertmaster for his "Symphony No. 13 (Hallucination City)" for 100 Guitars, recently released on CD by Atavistic Records and "Symphony No. 15 (Running Through The World Like An Open Razor)"(Music for Strange Orchestra), "Symphony No. 16 (Orgasm)" for 100 Guitars and as part of Branca/Bloor the Glenn Branca Trio. She also appeared as part of the Glenn Branca Ensemble on his CD "The Ascension: The Sequel" and on his posthumous 2019 release "The Third Ascension" and subsequent tours. In May of 2016 she participated in a performance of Branca's Symphonies 8, 10 and 12 with an all-star ensemble as part of the Red Bull Music Academy New York Festival 2016.She continues to perform with the Ensemble for tribute events and to run SYSTEMS NEUTRALIZERS records.

In 2005, she formed the NYC-based angular experimental band THE PARANOID CRITICAL REVOLUTION. The band released 3 recordings on SYSTEMS NEUTRALIZERS - "Crimson Canvas" (2013), "Euphobia" (2010) and "Death of the Cool" (2007) The band played in the US and Europe including appearances at ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES, "A Nightmare Before Christmas" in Minehead, England in December 2007 and the SXSW Music Festival in March 2009. The project ended in 2014.

Through the years Bloor has work with David Bowie, Page Hamilton, Thurston Moore, John Patitucci, Annie Clark/St. Vincent, Mike Watt, Adrian Utley (Portishead), Ty Braxton, tomandandy, Jason Vieaux, members of Godspeed You Black Emperor among others. She appeared uncredited on the soundtrack to the Paramount Pictures film "The Mothman Prophecies". Reg collaborated with artist Tony Oursler on the installation "Empy Blue" for EXPO 2000 in Hanover, Germany. She was part of Bill T. Miller's improvisational ORGY OF NOISE project on the CD "Noodle Braino"."

"Guitarist Will Bernard, a Berkeley, CA native and Brooklyn NY transplant studied guitar and piano from an early age with Dave Creamer, Art Lande and Julian White later developing and interest in classical music composition . He received a a degree in music from UC Berkeley where he studied with Andrew Imbrie and others.

He began playing and recording on an international level as a member of Peter Apfelbaum's Hieroglyphics Ensemble,who made their recorded debut with Don Cherry on "Multikulti" (A&M 1989). Since then, Bernard has participated in a host of boundary stretching groups, ranging from jazz, hip-hop and world music to experimental music, with many stops in between. In the 90's Bernard recorded and performed with many projects under the direction of acclaimed producer Lee Townsendand worked with groups ranging from the Hindustani-influenced Jai Uttal to the political hip-hop group the Coup. The most commercially successful of these projects was the group T.J. Kirk (with Charlie Hunter) whose sophomore album "If Four Was One" on Warner bros. was nominated for a Grammy in 1997. Will made further inroads with the Stanton Moore trio which toured extensively and made 3 albums on Telarc and a Hal Leonard drum instructional video and book.

Bernard broke out as a bandleader in 1998 with the release of "Medicine Hat" (Antilles/Polygram), showcasing his expert chops and flair for funky, bottom-heavy soul-jazz. He then followed up with two self produced albums ("Motherbug" and "Directions To My House"), before making two albums on Palmetto Records ("Party Hats" and "Blue Plate Special"). "Party Hats" garnered a nominated for a Grammy Award in 2008 for best contemporary jazz album.The all-star "Blue Plate Special" includes performances by Stanton Moore, Andy Hess and John Medeski. In 2011, Bernard released an organ trio record titled "Outdoor Living" to positive reviews with his own genre-bending style.

Bernard's last two albums are on Posi-tone records "Just Like Downtown" (Posi-Tone 2013) which features John Ellis on tenor sax and bass clarinet, Brian Charette on organ, and Rudy Royston on drums and "Out and About" (2016). which features Ben Allison, Allison Miller, Brian Charette and John Ellis. These recordings demonstrates Bernard's roots in straight-ahead jazz and more traditional styles as well as funk and free wheeling improv.

As a touring artist, Bernard has hit the road extensively with sin his own bands or as a member of the Stanton Moore Trio, Robert Walter's 20th Congress, Groundation, and numerous other lineups. As a leader Bernard has performed at The Monterey, North Sea, SF Jazz, Jazz a Vienne, Bumbershoot, Be-Bop and Brew, Montreal, Vancouver, Carribean Sea, and The High Sierra festivals,as well as clubs and festivals across the US, Europe and Canada. They have opened for Herbie Hancock and the Head Hunters, Jimmy McGriff, The Funky Meters, John Scofield, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Zigaboo Modeliste and the Charlie Hunter Quartet.Will has performed and or recorded with Dr Lonnie Smith,Tom Waits, Ben Sidran, Dr John, Booker T.Jones, Steven Bernstein's Millennial Territory Orchestra, Butler/ Bernstein and the Hot Nine, George Porter Jr., Zigaboo Modeliste, Global Noize, Greyboy Allstars, Galactic, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Mike Clark, Idris Muhammad and others.As well as leading his own groups, Will performs regularly with the NY collaborative electro-funk band "Pleasure Drones", the W-Beez (With Wil Blades), Peter Apfelbaum's Sparkler and John Medeski's Mad Skillet with Kirk Joseph and Terence Higgins."
