"Enigmatic figure of the Quebec counter-culture, Erica Pomerance presents here engaged and exploded folk compositions which offer us an immersion in an unknown aspect of the song of here. Between the Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Rimouski and New York, this beatnik acrobat brought her avant-garde songs through their casualness and self-mockery. Today it appears as the missing link between songboxes and the "folk trash" revival of the 2000s. If she released in 1968 the album You Used To Think (on the New York free jazz label ESP), her French songs remained unpublished to this day."-Tour De Bras

"Erica Pomerance was a singer-songwriter from Montreal, Canada, who recorded only one album, You Used To Think (1968), in which she experimented a hybrid of folk, jazz, Indian and psychedelic music.

Already into cinema since 1966, she later became an accomplished documentary filmmaker."
