February has brought a tremendous amount of strange weather to the globe, and we have the solution: stay inside and listen to vinyl records! To help you do that, we've put an interesting list of LPs on sale at 20% off their retail price. But hurry, because this sale ends Sunday, February 9 at midnight!
Over the last couple of months we've been expanding our catalog of Hatology, Hat[Now]Art, Emanem, and psi titles. Our goal is to offer the complete in-stock catalog for those labels. As we've added releases they've shown up in our "Just In Stock" section, and as we complete their listings they've been added into our main catalog. Perhaps now is a good time to look at what we have to offer on these labels!
Squidco Presents: Greg Stuart & Joe Panzer
Collectively, the duo of Joe Panzer (Clearing, Polluted) and Greg Stuart (Michael Pisaro) are credited with electricity, friction and gravity. Theirs is definitive noise music; taking a form that is generally tedious, laborious, uneventful, and (in some cases) unlistenable, to a place that's entertaining , provocative, and genuinely overwhelming, thanks to Joe Panzer's intense noise background and Greg Stuart's meticulous sonic abstractions.
Opening the show: Lapyss & Authorless and subterrene
On Sunday, February 23, 2014, Tatsuya Nakatani returns to Squidco for a solo show. Tickets and information are available now on our Facebook account or in Squidco's ticket category.
Squidco has been in business as a mail-order store since 2002. In 2010 we opened a storefront in downtown Wilmington, NC, giving customers access to our catalog of more than 7,000 new items, plus hundreds of discounted, used, and promotional items not listed on our website. We're open Mon-Fri, 12:00-6:00 PM, and other times by appointment, so if you're in the North Carolina coastal region make sure to stop by and say hello, we'd love to play some music for you!
