The trio of Kyle Bruckmann, setting his oboe aside for minimoog; Scott Rosenberg on sax and winds; and Michael Zerang on percussion, in an unusual and unpredictable release of electroacoustic improvisation that amuses as much as it impresses.

Burroughs, William S.: Haxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages
(SOTPACKAN)


Benjamin Christensen's 1922 silent film "Haxan" hypothesizes that witches of the Middle Ages suffered from psychiatric hysteria; the film was updated in 1968 by Antony Balch, with W.S. Burroughs narrating the film over a chaotic jazz quintet score, as heard on this soundtrack release.
