"Moon Young Ha is a founding member of and conductor for ensemble mise-en, and since 2014, has served as the Artistic Director and Chief Executive Officer for the ensemble's home venue MISE-EN_PLACE. Moon curates and conducts some of the most unexpected, perplexing, and prominent concerts of contemporary classical music in the city today. As a composer, Moon's works are heard worldwide, commissioned by major ensembles and chamber orchestras, and featured in experimental collaborations with the musicians in New York-based ensemble mise-en.

His compositional output is as eclectic as the concerts he curates. Much of his work combines acoustic instruments with electronics, video, and choreography, reflecting influences from western, non-western, jazz, and pop idioms. "Eric Allen, born in Portland, Oregon, is a multi-instrumentalist and composer living in New York City. He is an enthusiastic performer of new music, having performed with Contemporaneous, Ensemble Moto Perpetuo, Mimesis Ensemble, Cadillac Moon Ensemble, and ensemble mise-en. He is a strong improviser of many styles, and frequently performs with various jazz, singer-songwriters, and rock ensembles around New York. He is a founding member of the group Speed Bump, a string trio dedicated to performing their original compositions and unique arrangements of classical, jazz, and world music.

Eric's compositional style is a direct result of his varied performing background, and often combines elements from different genres to create his compositional voice. This year, he received an Honorable Mention in New York Youth Symphony's First Music young composer competition (Jazz). In 2013, he received an Honorable Mention in the Brian M. Israel Prize, and an ASCAP Plus Award. His recent compositions have been performed by Mr McFall's Chamber, Cadillac Moon Ensemble, ensemble mise-en, the Quadraphonnes, and the Portland Jazz Composers' Ensemble. In 2009, he was commissioned by the Portland Ballet to revise the score of La Boutique Fantasque for their annual Fall performances. He was a member of the BMI Jazz Composers Workshop from 2010 to 2013.

Eric's instrument of choice is the cello. He frequently performs in Off-Broadway musicals, and has played in professional orchestras such as the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Portland Festival Symphony, and the Astoria Festival Orchestra. He is the recipient of the 2009 Mrs. Hong Pham Memorial Recognition Award for New Music Performance. Eric also plays trumpet, mostly in jazz bands, and has also given performances on piano, melodica, accordion, and bicycle.

Eric graduated from Indiana University with a master's degree in cello performance where he served as an Associate Instructor of cello. He received his bachelor's degree in cello performance and composition at Portland State University. Eric is currently studying Indian classical music and is a sarangi student of Pandit Ramesh Misra."

"Kallie Sugatski is a member of Hotel Elefant, and performs regularly with International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), Pittsburgh Symphony, New York City Ballet, New Jersey Symphony, New York City Opera, Riverside Symphony, Talea Ensemble; and at Lion King and Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway. A fierce advocate for contemporary music, she works with today's leading composers, and has performed over 300 new works and more than 150 world premieres.

Feminist Counterpoint, Kallie's solo project, champions music written in her lifetime by women, trans, and nonbinary composers. Through this project, she amplifies underrepresented voices by commissioning new works, reinforcing the existing repertoire, and reaching new audiences through lecture/recital style installations in nontraditional venues. Feminist Counterpoint concerts have included a standing room only performance at the 2018 New Music Gathering, an amplified recital in Times Square, a concert/workshop at Girls Rock Camp, and a two week West Coast tour. This year's solo shows feature works for viola and electronics at Symphony Space's Bar Thalia series, and music for viola with projections at Areté Gallery.

Kallie's 2018-2019 season includes performances and masterclasses as guest artist of the Arthur Russell Festival for Creative Music Making, traditional Cuban music concerts as guest violist of Toomai Quintet, and the release of Forrest Pierce's string trio for New Focus Recordings. Performances outside of NYC include a Pacific Northwest tour with Gyda Valtysdottir, workshops and residency at DePauw with ICE, and concerts with Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

An avid chamber musician, Kallie is the violist of Osso String Quartet and a founding member of the Fair Trade Chamber Music Society. She appears often with Toomai String Quintet, Ensemble LPR, and the Fair Trade Trio. She was a member of New World Symphony, where she was co-principal violist under the baton of Michael Tilson-Thomas, and gave her solo debut as part of their John Cage festival. A creative and enthusiastic improvisor, Kallie also enjoys playing, singing, and recording non-classical music with artists such as Ben Folds, Norah Jones, Ray Lamontagne, Ambrose Akinmursire, Snarky Puppy, Andrea Bocelli, and Stevie Wonder. Josh performed internationally with the Mivos Quartet for 8 years, a vital new-music string quartet that he co-founded in 2008.
