Performing on viola, violin and a stroh (a string instrument mechanically amplified by a metal resonator and horn attached to its body) the NY duo of Joanna Mattrey and Gabby Fluke-Mogul present eight dialogs of ominous and prophetic divination, titles including "The Vision", "The Potion" or "The Omen", as they weave and tear at their strings in startling and impressive ways.

"Joanna Mattrey and Gabby Fluke-Mogul, two of the most radical and revolutionary New York-based improvisers, join forces in the birth of Oracle. Rejoicing in the strange magic of sound, the duo weaves together new worlds while simultaneously destroying the ones that no longer serve them. Oracle is a declaration, a remedy, and a revelation."-Relative Pitch
"The Stroh violin or Stroviol is a type of stringed musical instrument that is mechanically amplified by a metal resonator and horn attached to its body. The name Stroviol refers to a violin, but other instruments have been modified with the amplification device, including the viola, cello, double bass, ukulele, mandolin, and guitar. John Matthias Augustus Stroh, an electrical engineer in London, invented the instrument in 1899."-Wikipedia
