"This new solo project on glass as a material follows on from "Glassical music" (in which the sounds of water vapor were captured inside glass). Originally, it was a composition project written for 6 musicians from the Muzzix collective, which was performed several times in public. Later, I gathered enough material to work on the new compositions presented here."-Falter Bramnk
"Falter Bramnk is a French composer, improviser, has worked for theater, contemporary dance, and also as sound-designer and sound-editor for short films. He also plays and has played in several bands, and has published a number of solo projects, with an interest in both the music of notes and that of sound-noise, with a taste for adventure.
All music made exclusively with struck, rubbed, blown, shaken glass & crystal material. Composed, played, mixed and recorded by Falter Bramnk (2022-23). Crystal Baschet on " Larmes " and " Cobalt " by Sam Bodart.
"Verreformance" (2019) is an edited live performance by Barbara Dang, Peter Orins, Gordon Pym, Sam Bodart and Christian Pruvost, recorded live at the Malterie by F. B. "-Sublime Retreat
The Cristal Baschet is a unique musical instrument developed in 1952 by French brothers Bernard and François Baschet. It consists of chromatically tuned glass rods that are played by rubbing them with wet fingers, producing ethereal, resonant tones. The vibrations from the glass rods are transmitted to metal rods and amplified through fiberglass cones and a large steel plate, creating its distinctive sound.
The instrument has been used in various musical contexts, including film scores and contemporary compositions, to evoke otherworldly atmospheres. "-Wikipedia

She worked with Olivier Benoit and Jérémie Ternoy then met other musicians and composers such as Sophie Agnel, Didier Aschour, Michel Doneda, Daunik Lazro, Radu Malfatti, Michael Pisaro ... She developed a solo piano repertoire (John Cage, Cornelius Cardew, Henry Cowell, Morton Feldman, Tom Johnson, Federico Mompou, Erik Satie ...) which brings into play unusual techniques (prepared, amplified piano, indoor playing) where pure musical action is privileged compared to an individualized aesthetic expression. Within small groups or large ensembles (La Pieuvre, Le Grand Orchester de Muzzix, Dedalus), she explores other instruments such as amplified objects, electronics, organ or spruce. Since March 2015, she has worked for Revue & Corrigée: a benchmark review of experimental sound practices."-© Pidz (translated by Google) ^ Hide Bio for Barbara Dang • Show Bio for Peter Orins "After classical music study, Peter Orins learns the drums, first in a rock and afro-cuban music school, then at the Conservatoire National de Région of Lille in the jazz section, where he studies with Guy Gilbert, Jean-François Canape, Gérard Marais...
