Guitarist Berthiaume steps away from composition and jazz to record an album of intricate instrumental guitar songs with folk influences, playing solo and in small ensembles.

Montreal's Quatuor Bozzini string quartet worked with composer Christopher Butterfield, who wrote two of these pieces ("Trip" and "Fall") specifically for QB, alongside three other works from 20 years of composing that use unusual instructions and scores for the performers.
