"In addition to Shibusa Shirazu, Goko Fujii Orchestra, Yasuhiro Yoshigaki MOGOTOYOYO, SXQ, Eiichi Hayashi GATOS Meeting, Fumio Itabashi Orchestra, psychedelic rock band The Silence, his own group Blacksheep, and many other sessions, and in recent years, Ryuichi Yoshida is very active, having had great success with plays Gato Barbieri, plays Carla Bley, and plays Charlie Haden at Shinjuku Pit Inn.
This is a long-awaited release of his baritone saxophone solo, which has been his life's work for many years! His unique freaky tone and frazio that can be heard in the above groups and sessions are slightly overshadowed, and you can hear the charm of the baritone saxophone directly. However, the powerful sound unique to multiphonics and baritone that explodes at critical moments is The Ryuichi Yoshida! It is inevitable that you will want to shout out Kaiya.
Of the 12 pieces, 4 are compositions (those with titles) and the other 8 are improvisations, but it is no longer clear where the "boundary" between composition and improvisation exists, or the difference between music and acoustics. If you approach this group of works while thinking about where the "boundary" is, etc., you will be able to "listen to sounds" that are truly interesting. However, I can guarantee that you can just listen to the sound and enjoy its splendor without thinking about such complicated things."-Doubtmusic
