Louis Beaudoin-de la Sablonnière is an improvising guitarist based in Montreal, Québec. He is a member of Quinos with saxophonist Guillaume Tremblay and drummer Mathieu Létourneau, and of Brulez Les Meubles with Eric Normand, Jean Derome and John Hollenbeck, and a member of Gisèle with Miriam Pilette, Alex Dodier and Dave Croteau. He has also released a series of solo guitar albums performing jazz standards.

"Eric Normand is an improviser, bassist, instrument designer, composer, songwriter, singer and record and concert producer. He defines himself as an epidisciplinary musician, a free electron driven by its yearning for meetings. As an improviser, he develop a personal and radical playing on a homemade electric bass equipped with mics and objects feedbacking and vibrating in small electronic devices, creating electric flux interrupted by the instrumental gesture. With this set, he prefer to play duets, with Jim Denley (flute and sax), Philippe Lauzier (bass clarinet and sax), Sébastien Cirotteau (trumpet), Pierre-Yves Martel (viola de gamba and electronic), Jean-Luc Guionnet (saxophone), in addition of several spontaneous encounters.

He also play in bands involved in a more specific musical genre as danced poetry with BABABA, instrumental theatre with Le Veau/ The Veal, songs with Les Pitounes and Éric Normand Chante and folk music with The Surruralits and RRRRoyal Canadian Free Form Folk Experience. Interested in collective creation and orchestral improvisation, he lead for seven years the GGRIL, a 15 pieces band that have worked with composers such as Evan Parker, Jean Derome, Robert Marcel Lepage and Michael Fischer. His music has been programmed by or performed in several festivals in Canada , Australia and Europe. It have also been broadcasted by Radio-Canada, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, CBC, Radio-Grenouille, and several college radio stations."

"Originally from Germany, Ingrid Laubrock resides in Brooklyn, NY. Between 1989 and 2009 she was active as a saxophonist and composer in London/UK. She performed and/or recorded with: Anthony Braxton, Dave Douglas, Kenny Wheeler, Jason Moran, Tim Berne, William Parker, Tom Rainey, Mary Halvorson, Kris Davis, Tyshawn Sorey, Craig Taborn, Luc Ex, Django Bates' Human Chain, The Continuum Ensemble and many others.

Ingrid's current projects as a leader are Anti-House, Sleepthief, Ingrid Laubrock Orchestra, Ingrid Laubrock Sextet and Ubatuba. Collaborations include LARK,Haste,Paradoxical Frog and Ingrid Laubrock/Tom Rainey Duo.She is a member of Anthony Braxton's Falling River Music Quartet, Nonet and 12+1tet, Tom Rainey Trio and Obbligato, Andrew Drury's Content Provider, Mary Halvorson Septet, Kris' Davis Quintet, Nate Wooley's Battle Pieces and Luc Ex' Assemblée. Ingrid was one of the featured soloists in Anthony Braxton's opera Trillium J.

Awards include the BBC Jazz Award for Innovation in 2004, a Fellowship in Jazz Composition by the Arts Foundation in 2006, the 2009 SWR German Radio Jazz Prize and the 2014 German Record Critics Quarterly Award. Commissions include Jammy Dodgers for jazz quintet and dancers (2006), Nonet music for Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2007, SWR New Jazz Meeting 2011 and "Vogelfrei", a piece for chamber orchestra (ACO/Tricentric Foundation). She won Rising Star/soprano saxophone in the 2015 in the 'Downbeat Annual Critics Poll and won the 'El Intruso Critics Poll for tenor saxophone in 2013. Ingrid was Improviser in Residence 2012 in the German city Moers. The post is created to introduce creative music into the city throughout the year. As part of this she led a regular improvisation ensemble and taught sound workshops in elementary schools. Other teaching experiences include improvisation workshops at Towson University, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Baruch College, University of Michigan, University of Newcastle and many others."

"Born in the Bas-Saint-Laurent, Jonathan Huard holds a BA in percussion from the Rimouski Conservatory of Music and a master's degree in percussion, obtained with distinction, from the Conservatoire de musique de Québec. He studied with Gabriel Dionne, Marc-André Lalonde, Anne-Julie Caron, Aiyun Huang, Ryan Scott and John Rudolph. He has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (Waterloo, 2017), the So Percussion Summer Institute (Princeton, 2018) and has participated in numerous competitions including the Canada Music Competition where he won first prize in percussion in 2013 and 2018. In 2023, he won the Prix d'excellence of the Fondation de l'Orchestre symphonique de Québec. He regularly collaborates with this orchestra and with many ensembles of contemporary and improvised music [including Le GGRIL]. He is currently pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Performance at the University of Toronto. His passion for new music and improvisation led him to create the experimental vibraphone duet T.J.J.H. which seeks to expand the sound possibilities of the instrument."

She has performed her music in thirteen countries, always with great response from the audiences and positive reviews from the critics: Canada, United States, Mexico, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, England, Scotland, Italy, Hungary, Lithuania, and China. Recipient of numerous awards and mentions, including Prix du CALQ - Artist of the year 2023 (Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec - Laval) and Prix Opus-Concert of the year- Jazz (Conseil québécois de la musique, 2023), she has produced 10 albums as a leader, all having garnered rave reviews and numerous nominations and awards (JUNO Awards, ADISQ, Prix Opus).

Passionate about composition, accompanied by a love of large ensembles and the process of bringing together of multiple forces and energies, she has composed and arranged for orchestras and choirs such as: Violons du Roy (Quebec), the American Composers Orchestra (NYC), the Henri Mancini Institute Orchestra (Los Angeles), the Canada National Jazz Orchestra, Orchestre national de jazz de Montreal, the Hard Rubber Orchestra (Vancouver), the Guelph Symphony Orchestra, the Kingston Choral Society and the Chorale du Gesù (Montreal).

She has shared the stage with many international artists, among others: Charles Aznavour, Chucho Valdes, Kenny Wheeler, Ingrid Jensen, John Hollenbeck, Tony Malaby, Dave Liebman, William Parker, Mark Feldman, Hamid Drake, François Houle, Joséphine Bacon, Klo Pelgag, Lena Chamamyan, Farida, Naseer Shamma, Charbel Rouhana, Juan Carlos Caceres, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Violons du Roy and the Orchestre Métropolitain (Montreal). In 2023, she made a remarkable appearance in the documentary film of Richard Desjardins "Chip, Chip: Chopin par Desjardins".

Her academic formation has included doctoral studies in composition (Université de Montréal), a Master in Ethnomusicology (Université de Montréal), a bachelor's in jazz performance (McGill University), a DEC diploma in classical piano (Cégep de Sainte-Foy), a DEC diploma in Jazz arranging (Cégep de Saint-Laurent), studies in classical piano (Conservatoire de musique de Québec) and numerous workshops in North America and Europe.
