Track 1 recorded at Automata, in Los Angeles, California, by John Eagle.
Track 2 recorded at Packard Hall, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This recording features a quartet of West Coast improvisers-Andrew Weathers (tenor saxophone, mixer), Angel Lin (percussion), Ethan Marks (trumpet), and Mar Perez (trombone)-capturing their exploration of resonance and experimental approaches to their instruments. Track 1, recorded at Automata in Los Angeles by John Eagle, immerses listeners in a soundscape reminiscent of a warehouse filled with environmental noise, where the boundaries between music and ambient sound blur. Track 2, recorded at Packard Hall in Colorado Springs, continues this journey into free improvisation, highlighting the ensemble's commitment to pushing the limits of their instruments and collective sound. The album exemplifies the quartet's dedication to creating immersive auditory experiences that challenge traditional perceptions of music and noise.

Artist Biographies
• Show Bio for Andrew Weathers "Andrew Weathers (b.1988) is a composer and improviser originally from Chapel Hill, NC and currently based in Littlefield, TX. His work engages with notions of place, tradition, repetition, and spirit, splitting the difference between folk music and Land Art. Weathers studied composition at UNC-Greensboro and electronic music at Mills College in Oakland, CA. A consistent presence in the underground music scene over the past decade, Weathers' work covers a wide spectrum from solo acoustic guitar to electronic noise. He also performs and records regularly with Tender Crust, Wind Tide, Satin Spar, Tamarisk, Llano Estacado Monad Band, Tethers and Real Life Rock & Roll Band. Weathers also produces recordings for the Full Spectrum, Other Minds, and Rural Situationism record labels, curates the Longitudes music series at CO-OPt Research + Projects in Lubbock, TX and works as a freelance mixing and mastering engineer." ^ Hide Bio for Andrew Weathers • Show Bio for Angel Lin Angel Lin is a percussionist and sound sculpture artist based in Southern California. ^ Hide Bio for Angel Lin • Show Bio for Ethan Marks "Ethan Marks is an experimental trumpet player and producer based in Los Angeles. He is interested in the collision between body and instrument, the instrument-as-interface, and the physical manifestations of sound. Much of the sounds he explores are similarly physical, subtle, and often otherwise overlooked. His work is usually improvised, is sometimes silly, and has involved sundry preparations like feedback, video, noise, household objects, power tools, and plundered recordings. Marks is active within the LA experimental music community as a performer and producer, and he frequently collaborates with many of its members and organizations. He directs a DIY noise series, Sounds Poetic, in the heart of downtown LA, and co-directs High Desert Soundings, in Wonder Valley, outside of Joshua Tree. He has also performed at the Getty, LACMA, MOCA, Disney Concert Hall, REDCAT, the Los Angeles Theatre, Automata, Coaxial, the Mortuary, rec center, Betalevel, Art Share L.A., Highways Performance Space, and Santa Monica Public Library, among others. In addition to his work in LA, Marks has presented internationally at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, dotolim, the Darmstadt Fereinkurse fŸr Neue Musik, and the International Society for Improvised Music 2016 Conference in Guelph, Canada. Marks holds degrees in trumpet performance from California Institute of the Arts (MFA 2017) and The University of Texas at Austin (BM 2013). When not playing the trumpet and producing shows, Ethan can be found in the video rooms of Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, reading scores and operating supertitles for the Los Angeles Philharmonic." ^ Hide Bio for Ethan Marks
