Recorded by Lukas Wicker and Didier Maag, December 2008 at luckymusic, Luzern, Switzerland (www.luckymusic.ch). Mixed and mastered by Lukas Wicker, Didier Maag, Isa Wiss, Marc Unternahrer.
Swiss voice artist Isa Wiss with Marc Unternahrer on tuba in a surreal set of alphabetized improvisations. Wiss works in a Minton-esque mode with Shelley Hirsch overtones, while Unternahrer takes the tuba in untold places using extended techniques that evoke unusual textures and tones from the instrument. A very strange album to say the least, of interest to those following the evolution of extreme vocal and instrumental techniques.
