"Daniele Cavallanti (born June 6, 1952 in Milan) is an Italian jazz saxophonist.

Cavallanti had from 14 years classical saxophone and clarinet lessons with M. Ezio Zappatini. In the 1970s, he was part of the Gruppo Contemporaneo to Guido Mazzon and Gaetano Liguori, then played with Patrizia Scascitelli, in the band Aktuala and in his own trio with bassist Roberto Della Grotta and drummer Filippo Monico. He lived in 1979/80 in Amsterdam, where he played with Wolter Wierbos and Petro Nikiruy.

After studying harmony and arrangement with Angiolo Tarocchi he worked from 1991 with a quartet of his own, 1993 with Dewey Redman. He played in the course of his career u. a. with international musicians such as Mark Dresser, Herb Robertson, Roswell Rudd, Cecil Taylor, Glenn Ferris, Nels Cline, Raphael Garrett, Jean-Jacques Avenel, Oliver Johnson, Willem Breuker, Evan Parker, Paul Lytton, Elliott Sharp, Jerry Granelli, Keith Tippett as well as in the formations Aktula with Walter Maioli, Muzik Circus, Democratic Milan Orchestra, New Forties Big Band, Nexus, [2] Jazz Chromatic Ensemble and the Italian Instabile Orchestra. In 2010 he appeared in the documentary Il suono unstable della libertà."

"Tiziano Tononi (born November 18, 1956, Milan) is an Italian percussionist and composer.

Tononi taught himself to play drums in a pop/rock idiom as a youth, then turned to playing jazz and classical percussion in his late teens, studying with Andrew Cyrille and Bob Moses. Playing locally in Milan in the early 1980s, he joined the Democratic Orchestra Milano and co-founded the Nexus ensemble with Daniele Cavallanti, as well as the group Moon on the Water toward the middle of the decade. Through the 1980s he played in a variety of idioms with musicians such as Pierre Favre, Tiziana Ghiglioni, Maggie Nicols, Barre Phillips, Dewey Redman, Giancarlo Schiaffini, and Gianluigi Trovesi.

In the 1990s Tononi played with the Jazz Chromatic Ensemble and the Italian Instabile Orchestra, as well as in a trio with Beppe Caruso. His Multiphonics Tuba Trio, with Renato Geremia and Michel Godard, was founded in 1997; he also did composition and arrangement work, including the soundtrack to Ketchup and tributes to Don Cherry and Roland Kirk."

"Jenny Scheinman is a violinist, fiddler, singer, and writer of songs with and without words. She grew up on a homestead in Northern California and has been performing since she was a teenager. She has worked extensively with some of the most innovative jazz artists in the world such as Bill Frisell, Jason Moran, Brian Blade, Nels Cline and Marc Ribot. She has also toured and recorded with numerous American songwriting legends such as Lucinda Williams, Bruce Cockburn, Rodney Crowell, Lou Reed and Ani Difranco. In March of 2015 she premiered a multi-media performance at Duke University entitled Kannapolis:A Moving Portrait which she continues to present in theaters around the country. She has released eight albums of original music: Here On Earth, The Littlest Prisoner, Mischief & Mayhem, Jenny Scheinman, Crossing The Field, 12 Songs, Shalagaster, The Rabbi's Lover, and Live At Yoshi's."

Born in Modena, Italy, in 1971, he began self-taught and later won several scholarships that gave him the chance to study in some of the most important schools and workshops in the world (Berklee, D.Liebman masterclasses, Kopenhagen Rhythmic conservatory, Siena Jazz).

Among the many artists he has collaborated with are Uri Caine, Ralph Alessi, Sylvie Curvoisier, Steve Swell, Louis Sclavis, Ernst Reijseger, Pierre Dørge and Franco D'Andrea; he also took part in the recording of many CDs and performed all over the world.

As leader Achille Succi has recorded two CDs: "Shiva's dance" and "Terra", and a duo session with Bass player Salvatore Maiore: "Pequenas flores do inferno".

Together with Fabrizio Puglisi and Alberto Capelli he founded the "Atman" group, with two CDs released.

With pianist Christopher Culpo he just released "Fresh Frozen", for the "El Gallo Rojo" record label, featuring tuba player Oren Marshall.

Achille Succi teaches music ensemble in Nonantola (Modena) and holds improvisation workshops and masterclasses in several Italian cities. Since 2001 he has been a faculty member of famous summer workshop Siena Jazz, and recently taught at the In.Jam masterclasses; since 2006 he also teaches clarinet and improvisation techniques at the Ferrara, Bologna and Brescia Conservatory."

Emanuele Parrini is an Italian violinist, known for the groups Cene Resnik Quartet, Daniele Cavallanti & The Brotherhood Creative Trance Music Ensemble, Dimitri Grechi Espinoza Artistic Alternative, Dinamitri Jazz Folklore, Enrico Fazio 7tet, Italian Instabile Orchestra, Nexus (46), One Lip 5, Tiziana Ghiglioni & The Tbone Band, Tiziano Tononi & The Ornettians, and Tiziano Tononi And Southbound.

"Composer/bassist Giovanni Maier started his professional career in 1986 at the age of 21, after finishing his formal studies in classical music at the "G. Tartini" Music Academy in Trieste and having pursued independently his personal interest in jazz music.

In 1986 he co-founded the Transition Jazz Group and, with this and other ensembles, began to write and perform original music in Italy and Europe.

In 1989, he formed his first ensemble to perform his own compositions, and has since recorded over 80 albums featuring his work.

As a member of ensembles, he has performed in many concerts throughout Europe, in North and South America, Japan, North Africa and the Middle East.

As a bassist he features on over 240 albums, including recordings with Enrico Rava, Gianluigi Trovesi, the Italian Instabile Orchestra, Cecil Taylor, Anthony Braxton, Tim Berne, Marc Ribot, Keith and Julie Tippett, Louis Moholo, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Pino Minafra, Roberto Ottaviano, Carlo Actis Dato, Tiziano Tononi, Daniele Cavallanti, Stefano Battaglia, Michele Rabbia, Chris Speed, Scott Amendola as well as with other leading figures in creative music.

He is currently active as a solo contrabassist, composing for, and performing and recording with, a variety of ensemble projects.

Giovanni Maier is also actively engaged in the field of education through the presentation of workshops and as lecturer at the "G. Tartini" Music Academy in Trieste."
