2. Afterimage Selves Audio available on CD only.
Composed and performed by Roger Tellier-Craig using Analog Solutions Telemark, modular synthesizer skiff (with Make Noise, ALM and 4MS modules), Soundgrain software (granular synthesis), and Kontakt software (sampling).
From the LP Extreme Events (Root Strata RS94, 2014).

Le Révélateur-Roger Tellier-Craig and Sabrina Ratté, who creates the project's videos and live visuals-operates at the ideological intersection of audio and visual, analog and digital, nostalgic and anticipatory, human and machine. The LP Extreme Events is a prescient re-vision of hypothetical cyberpunk futures realized in the desert of digital decay and burgeoning artificial ecologies.

Composed and performed by Germaine Liu (cymbal, bass bow, floor tom, and mallet).
Recorded in The Basement, Toronto, by Nick Storring, July 24th, 2015. Mixed and mastered by Nick Storring.

The intention of the piece was to push my own physicality as far as possible into exhaustion in order to allow the cymbal to "speak."

5. Weeping for a Dead Love
Composed by Anna Pidgorna.
Performed by Anna Pidgorna (voice) and So Percussion (Eric Cha-Beach, Josh Quillen, Adam Sliwinski, and Jason Treuting).
Recorded in concert by Andres Villalta at Taplin Auditorium, Princeton University, Princeton N.J., in May 2015.

This work draws on the now rare rural Ukrainian tradition of mourning songs: half-chanted, half-cried laments sung by women at funerals and over grave sites. I have drawn on this tradition, expanding and warping it, to mourn the death of a romantic relationship rather than a person. The vocal line is notated with basic rhythms and melodic outlines allowing room for improvised ornamentation. The percussion parts are notated in gestures, which roughly follow the vocal line.

6. Play The Bridge Audio available on CD only.
Sound design by Di Mainstone, Cassini Sound, Charlotte Barnes, Lukas Greiwe, Martyn Harries, and Adam JB.
Soundtrack for #PlayTheBridge (2015).

The film celebrates the 150th anniversary of Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge. Using a new version of the Human Harp, developed at Bristol's Pervasive Media Studio with engineers from Arup and students from the University of the West of England, Mainstone's team harnessed the low frequency vibrations of the suspension rods and found a way to turn them into music. "Filmmaking is crucial to my process," says Mainstone, "allowing me to show how the player of my instruments (the movician) interacts with each device to trigger sound. I love the idea of changing objects into something new and creating a playful, Alice in Wonderland experience where harps grow to the size of suspension bridges and sing their own melody!"

7. The Bridge
Composed by Dereck Higgins.

This piece was created by sound artist Dereck Higgins, a magical resident of Omaha, where I spent a happy month during my Human Harp residency at Bemis Centre for Contemporary Art. Dereck and I enjoyed a playful morning recording the dongs, twangs, and wiggles and waggles of the beautiful Bob Kerrey Suspension Bridge-all of which Dereck used to compose this electric bridge ballad.

8. Klop Klonk Audio available on CD only.
Created by Di Mainstone and Adam Stark.

Adam and I wanted take all of the recordings made by Jon Cohrs and myself on the Brooklyn Bridge and create a sonic walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. You can hear my footsteps on the lovely hardwood walkway mixed with all sorts of other sounds.
-Di Mainstone

9. De Temps En Temps / Now And Then Audio available on CD only.
Composed and performed by Nouveau Jazz Libre Du Québec: Bryan Highbloom (tenor and soprano saxophone), Guy Thouin (drums), and Raymon Torchinsky (alto saxophone).
From the NJLQ LP En Direct du Suoni per il Popolo (Bronze Age Records, 2014)

[T]he NJLQ's collective improvisations rest on the meaningful themes and sonic symbols of a collective and empowering history that continues to evolve.
-Eric Fillion, album liner notes

Recorded in concert at La Sala Rossa, Montreal, June 2013.
