"Cécile Cappozzo was born in 1984 in Roanne of parents musicians.

Trained on the classical piano, she quickly turned to jazz and improvised music. After a visit to the Conservatoire de Saint-Étienne (jazz department) and to the Faculty of Musicology of Tours, she multiplied the musical experiences and formed during master classes with Mal Waldron, Charles Gayle, Jacques Loussier, Sophia Domancich ..., And won the Prix Fédécouverte 2006 with his own trio, at the age of 22, which will allow him to perform in the halls belonging to the Fédération des Scènes de Jazz de France.

At the same time, she became passionate about flamenco at the age of 20, took her first flamenco dance classes in Tours with Aurélia Vidal, was trained at various courses and festivals in France (Mont de Marsan, Rivesaltes, Paris) and Spain (Seville, Granada). Passionate, she leaves in Andalusia, in Jerez de la Frontera, guardian city of cante jondo or "deep song" according to the aficionados, for a duration of 2 years (2007 to 2009). She met her "maestra", Manuela Carpio, a great gypsy dancer with inexhaustible knowledge, completed her training with other artists such as Maria José Franco, Ana Maria Lopez and Carmen Herrera, and especially Mercedes Ruiz, a young internationally renowned jerezana dancer . She continues her training with great dancers such as La Lupi, Fran Espinosa, Israel Galvan, La Moneta ...

Back in France in 2010, La Cecilia continues her training with artists such as Bobote, Juana Amaya, Israel Galvan, José Maya, Manuela Carrasco, La Lupi and aims to promote traditional flamenco by offering internships and Spectacles, and always bearing in mind the generosity and the strength inherent to this art.

She returned to Andalusia very regularly to continue her training with Manuela Carpio (Jerez de la Frontera), in the schools of Seville and with La Lupi (Malaga).

In 2014, she created her own group La Cecilia y su gente . She is also part of the choreographic group (contemporary dance) by Dimitri Tsiapkinis ( Omnivion ), the first of which was given at the Center Chorégraphique de Tours in September 2014 in which she presents a contemporary flamenco solo.

Cécile Cappozzo also performs as a flamenco dancer, multiplying projects with different French and Spanish artists ( Cie Helena Cueto , Cie Acento Flamenco , Cie Sabrina Le Guen , show with Carmen Herrera, Duo with Karine Gonzalez ...), as a pianist.
