• Show Bio for Guro Gravem Johansen "Guro Gravem Johansen (born February 7, 1973 ) is a Norwegian jazz vocalist, music researcher, conductor and associate professor of music education. She grew up at Tennskjær in Lenvik municipality in Troms. She received her education from the Norwegian Academy of Music where she completed her master's degree in 1998, and majored in 2003 with the thesis "The third ear. About hearing, improvisation and the subject hearing training in higher education ". In 2013, she completed her PhD education at the Norwegian Academy of Music with the thesis "To practice improvisation. A qualitative study of jazz student practice, focusing on the development of improvisational skills ". As a performer, Johansen is known as a vocalist in the band Søyr (since 1998). She has participated in the Østerdalsmusikk project in 2012-2015 and has been a band leader and vocalist in the jazz quartet Crazy Moon since 1996. She has worked with musicians such as Lars Klevstrand, Georg Riedel, Rune Klakegg, Jojje Wadenius, Helge Hurum and Elin Rosseland. She sang in Helge Hurum 's orchestras, and collaborated with Knut Riisnæs on the performance Duke Ellington - sacred concerts. In addition to this, she wrote performances for Melbudagene and Vegadagene (1997). With Torgrim Sollid she wrote the commissioning station Stasjonsbyliv! (2006), and withLars Klevstrand has made Hujeda me! (2006). Johansen has been employed at the Norwegian School of Music since 1999, and since 2013 as associate professor of music education. She is the conductor of several amateur choirs and is an active course and lecturer on topics such as improvisation teaching, improvisation in choir, improvisation in hearing training and improvisation and practice. Her research interests are Jazz pedagogy at all levels, improvisation, music and gender, hearing training and practice. She is also active politically, including local politics in the Socialist Left Party. She is Norway's representative on the INA Council (ISME National Affiliates) and has been a member of the State Artist Scholarship Committee for musicians, singers and conductors." ^ Hide Bio for Guro Gravem Johansen • Show Bio for Sergio Castrillon "Sergio Castrillón is a Colombian cellist who currently holds a doctorate at the University of Helsinki. His work specializes in graphic notation and sound improvisation, exploring "noise" and unconventional forms of musical improvisation. We have collaborated a couple of times mixing music and poetry in the elaboration of visual poems in graphic notation.
