"Music that springs from inner necessity finds its own forms and its own tempos, it makes its own affinities and reveals its own traditions. Such is the music of Claudio Sanna, a young Sardinian pianist who, versed equally in the classical and jazz traditions, makes his recording debut with a striking suite that includes both composed and improvised pieces and which seems to echo both forward and backward, elongating time to grasp simultaneously past, present and future, memory and reverie, in a warm embrace."-Stuart Broomer
