Two works commissioned by the Austrian Studio Dan ensemble: "As We May Feel" by George Lewis, referencing visionary engineer Vannevar Bush's concepts of data linking & association, in a work reminding how music recombines and associates; and Oxana Omelchuk's double concerto for two trombonists, "Wow and Flutter", taking listeners on a profound journey through recording technologies.

Track 1 recorded at the 50th Edition of ORF musikprotokoll im steirischen herbst at the Helmut List Halle, Graz, Austria on October 5th, 2017 by ORF.
Track 2 recorded at Stadtgarten Koln, in COlogne, Germany, on February 1st, 2018; by Stephan Schmidt.
"Both these works have profound things to say about how we experience, retain and communicate information. Vannevar Bush asserted that it was the privilege and duty of mankind not just to know, to accumulate information, but to understand it and make it play. Both of these wonderful works bring us closer to that, not in the sense of revealing their own processes, as Oxana Omelchuk says, but in grasping how things fit together, function together, and ultimately, how we live together."- Brian Morton
