Improvised and heavy forms of experimental rock from the French duo of piccolo bassist Eric Brochard and drummer Fabrice Favriou, their music dramatic, ritualistic and urgent as they reference Maya Deren and mythological experience, their music hypnotically mesmerizing and sonically rich, slowly whirling dervishes in five varying sequences that growl and transfix.

"The ritualistic form... creates fear, for example, by creating an imaginative, often mythological experience which, by containing its own logic within itself, has no reference to any specific time or place, and is forever valid for all time and place...
Above all, the ritualistic form treats the human being not as the source of the dramatic action, but as a somewhat depersonalized element in a dramatic whole."-Maya Deren (in An anagram of ideas on art, form and film, 1946)
"DERVICHE's music is described as an experimental rock, focusing on an analysis as a research tool. A bass, a drums, leitmotifs put into vibrations and repetitions until the triggering of an ecstatic point. DERVICHE could be characterized as a sound hypnosis in a space set in motion and which is distorted. "There is a sun hidden in an atom: suddenly this atom opens its mouth ..." "-Rumi"The eye was still watching if we could dance while turning, turning, turning to lose partial control to regain our senses. Finally. And one could not find the right words as the feeling is so urgent. Eric Brochard and Fabrice Favriou (respectively bass piccolo, vocals and drums), they find the right music. They have just published, on the excellent label Ayler records, the heady Dervish , perfectly synchronized with our emergencies of the time. The eye listens: " If you want to be experienced? "-Jean Rochard... Nato records

Influenced by contemporary music from the future, impossible musics and decadent rock music, he composes, improvises and actively plays live on survivor scene. Mindful of placement and the relationship between space and silence, he regularly creates music for contemporary dance. Fabrice Favriou is an attentive rambler, attracted to the sounds of an urban environment, such as the noises of power transformers, all types of turbines, used neon tubes, or the palpitations of controlled mechanical ventilation systems which inspire his work with drones, undulations, dephase vibrations, cyclical, off-centre gestures and continuums..." ^ Hide Bio for Fabrice Favriou
