Artist Biographies

"Eric Wong - Born 1981 in Minneapolis, MN, grew up in Hong Kong, studied Psychology at the University of Minnesota. He is a guitarist, computer musician, and improviser. Although he has taken some lessons at younger age, he is pretty much an autodidact. He focuses on sound textures and perception of sound.

Currently based Berlin, he has performed in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Macau, USA, Taiwan, China, Poland, Switzerland, and Czech Republic. Projects he has been involved include D.N.A.N.D.N.A. with Simon Rose, they played in MIRROR MIRROR FESTIVAL (Berlin, 2016), icra with Mira Falk, Se Noh Te with Eunice Martins, rock duo Meta Fog with Sascia Pellegrini patchworking pop culture montage, played in FREE SPACE FESTIVAL OF WEST KOWLOON (Hong Kong, 2013), and APOCALYPSE POSTPONED of Art Basel Hong Kong (2014), musical collective Stoic Strangers with Wilson Tsang plus other Hong Kong based musicians, played in KEEP THE SILENCE FESTIVAL (Hong Kong, 2013), Berlin Soundpainting Orchestra, as well as working with many other artists across the globe. In 2015 he played duo with Wilmer Chan in JOLT FESTIVAL (Hong Kong), which originated in Australia, and later become a festival across different countries.

In 2016 he co-curated and performed in UNSTUMM HONG KONG, a cross media improvisation performance with musicians and visual artists from Germany and Hong Kong."
