Recorded at Ausland, in Berlin, Germany, on October 18th, 2020, by Tad Klimp.
"Another wonderful quartet recording, combining minimal music and free improvisation, recorded at Ausland in Berlin. The first impression is that the piano lines of Quentin Tolimieri are beautifully exposed. The band plays a kind of suite in six movements: "Line segments A-F". That all keep a quiet, peaceful and melancholic mood. I dig 12 minutes long "Lines segment C", with phenomenal pizzicato work of the double bass, viola and cello, supporting the leading lines of the piano. In the second part, double bass and later other string instruments start to be bowed, but the concept remains. The closing 14 minutes "Line segment F" is also very touching: again the piano leads, accompanied by a marvelous superposition of bowed and finger-picked tones. The mood is quiet, but tends more toward dramatic and expressive. Beautiful music!!!"-"Maciej Lewenstein

His main interest shifted towards contemporary improvised and composed music. The relationship with his instruments is focused in sonic and textural elements. Electronic music was an early influence on his approach to violin playing, which challenges traditional romantic concepts of the violin/viola through use of preparations and micro tuning. Active in different settings on the Portuguese scene for free improvised music, both as a collaborator and in leading his own groups. Music for Dance, Cinema, Video and Performance. Has created the record label Creative Sources Recordings in 1999, which mainly concentrates on releasing experimental and electro-acoustic music." ^ Hide Bio for Ernesto Rodrigues • Show Bio for Guilherme Rodrigues "Was born 1988 in Lisboa, Portugal and started playing cello and trumpet at Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa at the age of 7.
