"The album Songs for Habitual People is a musical exploration of the various moods and feelings we experience in day to day life, capturing the less obvious and subtle moments, and expanding them into full stand alone works. Each piece was composed by Price during the Covid pandemic and has been released through Portuguese new music label Creative Sources Recordings. Each musician in the ensemble have built careers that have accolades in both Classical and Jazz/Contemporary music, as individual players, 'The Inlay Ensemble' found playing both styles has constantly forced 2 different ways of playing one instrument, with this ensemble being a remedy and opportunity to play the instruments without stylistic or musical limitations."-Inlay Ensemble

Her qualifications include an MMus in opera from the Royal Northern College of Music and a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Drama in addition to her rigorous classical training on violin and form an important foundation to a more earthy and folk heavy musical tradition imbued in her songwriting. She is highly respected within the early music scene, and likewise in the operatic scene for her engaging musicianship and exuberant stage presence. Her skills cross fluidly over to the jazz scene largely through her ensemble Elysian Fields, but her vocals are particularly flexible to that style and have awarded her the place at numerous highly regarded Sydney jazz events. Her songwriting duo Meremba and nomadic folk jazz fusion ensemble Chaika have for a long time earned their place in the folk and world music scene and span the influences of Eastern Europe, Celtic, Scandinavian and even Indonesian tradition. Susie's core projects are ARIA nominated nomadic folk jazz fusion ensemble Chaika, Meremba, a collaboration with her sister performing originals, and Elysian Fields, a Scandi folk fusion ensemble. Her other collaborations include regular vocalist and violinist with the Marais Ensemble and with the Miriam Liebermann Trio, guest performances as a soloist with multi-ARIA award winning ensemble Monsieur Camembert. Her performances have ranged from performances with Basement Jaxx on their 2019 Australian tour, to violinist with famed Iranian singer Alireza Ghorbani. She was a 2019 associate artist with Pacific Opera and in October 2021, performed in one of the first live opera's post lockdown open to the public, as the lead in an Australian opera "Love Burns" by playwright Louis Nowra and composer Graeme Koehne. On Sundays (pre-COVID), you could also find her moonlighting in the Mercantile Hotel at the rocks, playing some raucous Irish pub classics." ^ Hide Bio for Susie Bishop • Show Bio for Carl St Jacques "I am a passionate violist who feels music has always been life changing and affirming. From solo to ensemble playing, over to outreach and teaching, for me viola performance is a life calling. I remember being age seven declaring that I would play every type of music my viola would allow and would share my musical talent in every way, shape and from. It is my vocation to be a compelling violist/artist, advocate of the instrument/craft, and bridge for many to classical music. From intensely satisfying classical, to enchanting improvisational, to joyful jam sessions- I love performing and am known for my ability to move an audience. To me the viola is an instrument of true beauty and balance and many are still unfamiliar with it. Just as the viola is the bridge between the violin and cello- I aim to be a bridge between contemporary and classical music by sharing wonderful music with all expressing my true voice, musicianship, and message." "Carl St Jacques is one of Sydney's most creative and open-minded viola players. In his unique solo shows, he explores a myriad of styles such as folk, jazz, and free improvisation, combining his sound with voice and loop pedal creating an original and exciting hybrid of sound worlds. Miami-born, Carl has international classical training including at Indiana University and Verbier in Switzerland. He plays with Sydney Symphony Orchestra and has held positions Miami Symphony, Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet and Southwest Florida Symphony as well as many chamber groups and has performed around the world in over 20 countries. He also performs regularly with a wide range of Sydney-based groups ensembles such as Miriam Lieberman, George Dukas and the d strings (Greek and classical fusion), Ephemera Ensemble."-Local.Black ^ Hide Bio for Carl St Jacques
