"Soundinista Meira Asher's work has been released on Crammed, Sub Rosa and Auditorium. Her visionary early voice based albums from the 1990s were too forward thinking and challenging for the Israeli audiences of the period, but after her departure to Europe they attained cult status.

She Studied Tabla and Dhrupad in Varanasi-India, and traditional drumming, voice and dance of the Ga, Eve and Dagomba people of Ghana, both of which she later taught and performed. She attained a BFA in percussion at California Institute of the Arts (1990). She completed her Masters in Sonology at the Royal Conservatory, The Hague (2002).

"Born in Italy and raised in Israel, Esti Kenan-Ofri is a composer and a performer of music and dance. Her work is inspired by the diverse traditions of song and dance in Israel and particularly by the Sephardi-Jewish heritage.

She has performed music written and arranged especially for her by many composers including Luciano Berio, Andrei Hajdu, Betty Olivero, Noam Sherif, Oded Zehavi, Piris Eliyahu, Netta Aloni, Mark Kopitman and Israel Borochov.

She performed the leading role in Luciano Berio's "Ofanim" with numerous orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic under Claudio Abado. In Bologna, she sang the leading role in Fabio Vacchi's opera "Il Viaggio".

Her CD "Juego de Siempre" ("The Game of Forever") is a collection of Judeo-Spanish songs arranged especially for her by the Israeli composers Betty Olivero and Oded Zehavi and produced together with the Museum of Jewish Diasora. A further CD "Spirit of the East" includes some of Piris Eliyahu compositions. Together with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra under Zubin Mehta and Placido Domingo she sang "A Sephardic Passion" a work by Noam Sheriff, the best-known contemporary Israeli composer.

In 1994 she founded the duo "Kol Tof", together with the drummer and percussionist Oren Fried. They since have been guests at several festivals throughout Europe, e.g. the festivities of the 50. anniversary of the UNESCO in Paris.

With the addition of the Moroccan Oud player Armond Sabach some years ago, the duo became the trio "Kol Oud Tof", which is dedicated to the interpretation of musical traditionals of the northern African Jews - particularly the Moroccan -, whose music is based upon Sephardic songs and enriched by texts, instruments and stylistic elements of the Arabic culture.

At present Esti Kenan Ofri works with the Arabo-Andalucian orchestra of Tangier, with Kol Oud Tof trio and with keyboard player Slava Ganelin."

Anat Pick: "[...] Pick suggests to us a personal biography that we are by now quite used to within the experimental sphere: As a young classical pianist, entering the academic system in Israel, Pick discovers she is unable to toe the line. The latter not due to an outstanding proclivity towards the extremes of musical content, but simply because she found it hard to concentrate, especially when academic writing was concerned. Pick finally managed to conclude her piano degree in London, and soon returned to Israel for no reason other than a personal calling. [...]"

Josef Sprinzak: "An interdisciplinary performance and voice artist who combines spoken and sung poetry with video and photography, Sprinzak lives in Tel Aviv and has been performing in Israel and in Europe for some ten years to great critical acclaim. Sprinzak has a masters degree in computer studies, hence a range of technological skills he can apply to his work. But it is his riveting virtuoso use of voice and body that have been central to the particular form of sound poetry he has been developing."

"Jean Claude Jones was born in Sfax, Tunisia and moved to France as a young child. As a teen, he taught himself simultaneously to play lead and bass guitar. At the age of 17 he began working in professional pop and jazz bands. In 1978 he moved to the US to pursue formal music studies, graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he majored in jazz guitar. He continued his studies at the Music Institute of Technology in Los Angeles. In 1983 he emigrated to Israel, where he became a key player on the newly developing jazz scene. Several years later he made a definitive switch from guitar to double bass, and became involved in free improvised music. In time, he added electronics and computer-manipulated sounds to his musical arsenal. In 2016 because of a serious illness he returned the guitar as his main instrument.The driving force behind his work is "finding my space."

JC Jones is an esteemed music educator, and served as chair of the Jazz Department at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance between 1996 and 2000. He has performed and recorded with many leading international and Israeli musicians, dancers, poets, and vocal artists, including Stan Getz, Red Rodney, and Dave Liebman. Since the 1990s he has appeared with John Zorn, Anthony Coleman, Ned Rothenberg, Joey Baron, Marc Ribot, Ikue Mori, Mike Patton, Damon Smith, Joelle Leandre, Slava Ganelin, Steve Horenstein, Albert Beger, Arkady Gotesman, Avishai Cohen, Ariel Shibolet, Harold Rubin, Victoria Hanna, Josef Sprinzak, Amos Hetz, Anat Shamgar , Felix Ruckert, Dieter Hautkamp, Julyen Hamilton, Mark Dresser, Barre Phillips, Bert Turetzky, Irina Kalina Goudeva.

In 2004 he founded his label Kadima Collective Recordings.

Some of JC's major projects include Deep Tones for Peace 2009 telematic performances, the Kadima Triptych Series (cds/dvds/texts featuring double-bass masters), Myelination (the myelin chemical sounds and improvised music), and The Temperamental Duo, a collaborative work on Lydian + Explorations with composer/reeds player Steve Horenstein.

Since 2016 he has been working with lap-style prepared and sometimes prepared spanish guitar, in multiple collaborations and recordings with several eminent musicians.
