Focusing intently on multiphonics and long-form statements on the saxophone, the second solo album from Canadian-American saxophonist based in New York City, Erin Rogers, is a tour-de-force of unusual language on the instrument, exploring every inch from the reeds to the pads in manners uniquely harrowing, ingenious, awe-filled, unorthodox, and always inspired.

"The second solo saxophone album from Erin Rogers dives deep into the sonic underbelly of the instrument, uncovering a radiant world of imagination and curiosity, where beauty comes disguised.
Forging an alternate voice, percussively blending tone with mechanism and melody with vocalization, gutturals and breath. Singular sounds erupt into splatters of bright partials, harmonics and multiphonics, while layers of industrial counterpoint emerge from subtonic tones.
Recorded over the 2020 winter solstice, 2000 Miles expands on the work of Dawntreader, Rogers' 2019 debut album, while covering new ground with over 60+ minutes of solo, acoustic saxophone playing. 2000 Miles is a comprehensive guide to building narrative through technical command of an extended sound world."-Relative Pitch
