Led by bass clarinetist Tobias Schirmer and harmonica player Matthias Broede, also on piano, with Jan Roder on bass and drummer Bernd Oezsevim, this German quartet blends contemporary jazz through four original Brode compositions and two collective improvisations, performed with melodic intent and tight, quick interaction as recorded live at Tito's Zentrifuge in Berlin.

Recorded at Tito's Zentrifuge, in Berlin, Germany, on February 3rd, 2020, by Tito Knapp.
"Recorded on the 3rd Feb in 2020 at Tito's Zentrifuge in Berlin Germany, 'Imaginary moments in a city' presents something different in that its rare to hear a grand harmonica (here played by Brode Shirmer) in an improvised context and it works amazingly well! A fascinating new innovative group in the FMR stable! This brand new line up from Berlin offers music between Free Improv, Composition and Contemporary (Free) Jazz. The unusual instrumentation with harmonica, clarinets and piano together with the compositions and the strong musical characters of the players create an original and independent group-sound with a dense and compact interaction."-FMR
