Two very different but openly creative improvising duos on a split CD, initiating the Swedish label and concert organizer FRIMS's split recording series: first 4 improvisations from legendary free improvisers Raymond Strid on drums & percussion and guitarist Mattias Windemo; then an extended dialog from new generation players Marcus Warnheim on alto saxophone and Karin Ivgves on piano.

Artist Biographies
• Show Bio for Raymond Strid ^ Hide Bio for Raymond Strid • Show Bio for Mattias Windemo "Guitarist Mattias Windemo was born in Sandviken in the north of Sweden in 1970.At the age of fifteen he became a student at the prestigious swedish music school of Ingesund in Arvika. Two years later he became one of the youngest ever students at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Since then he has been in great demand, established as a guitarist in variety musical contexts. Mattias and the guitar maker Jan Helg`e together created a special built twinneck guitar in 1990. This custom-made instrument is tuned in quarters with scalloped fingerboards allowing it to be played with one hand on each guitar neck, much in the way a keyboard is played. The result is previously unheard of dimensions of music and unique possibilities of expression. This makes Mattias internationally a "one-of-a-kind" guitarplayer who continually develops and explors his own music. Mattias Windemo has cooperated with musicians as Lindha Svantesson, Joakim Milder, Gösta Rundqvist, Karin Krogh, Mats Öberg m.fl." ^ Hide Bio for Mattias Windemo • Show Bio for Karin Ingves "Karin Ingves is a pianist and composer with an educational background in classical music as well as improvisation and jazz. Nowadays she is mainly active in smaller constellations where she explores both open and semi-structured forms of improvisation. She regularly works in a duo with clarinetist Marcus Wärnheim (who will release his debut album in 2021) and is part of the Alex Zethson Ensemble (which will debut in October 2021). She has previously played concerts at e.g. the Swedish Music Spring festival as well as Kulturhuset and Fylkingen." ^ Hide Bio for Karin Ingves
