A multi-channel sound work by Turkish-American composer Cenk Ergun, Cenk Ergün, first realized as an installation for six loudspeakers at Zionskirche, Berlin in March 2021 using the vocal work of UK countertenor Rupert Enticknap, who recorded long tones and melodic fragments that Ergün composed into works of dense choirs contrasted with periods of silence.

• Show Bio for Cenk Ergun "Cenk Ergün is a Turkish-American composer currently based in Berlin. His chamber music has been performed by ensembles such as JACK Quartet, So Percussion, Alarm Will Sound, Wet Ink, and Yarn/Wire. As an electronics performer, he regularly collaborates with artists such as Jason Treuting, Jeff Snyder, Samita Sinha, Fred Frith, and Alvin Curran. Venues that have featured his work include New York's Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, 92Y, Miller Theater, Le Poisson Rouge, The Roulette, The Stone; Amsterdam's Muziekgebouw, Zurich's Tonhalle, Istanbul's Babylon, and Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie. Cenk's music has been heard at the NY Phil Biennial, Lincoln Center Festival, Lucerne Festival, Gaudeamus Music Week, MATA Festival, Bang on a Can Marathon, and the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival. 2020 saw the release of two records: Sonare & Celare with JACK Quartet, and Lock Me Up & Lock Me Down with Fred Frith and Sudhu Tewari. He has performed with renown Early Music ensembles and conductors and also brings along a great passion for modern and contemporary music repertoire. In 2017, he made his debut at the Glyndebourne Opera Festival in the role of Rosencrantz in Brett Dean's celebrated Hamlet-premiere alongside Barbara Hannigan which has been chosen as best world premiere by the International Opera Awards 2018. The DVD-production received the Gramophone Classical Music Award 2019. He also sang the title role of Philip Glass's Akhnaten at the MITO Settembre Musica Festival 2015, the European in Maurizio Kagel's Mare Nostrum at the Wiener Kammeroper in 2014, the world premiere of Max Richter's Sum for The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the Mystery Man in Olga Neuwirth's The Lost Highwayat the Oper Frankfurt. In 2019, he made his debuts at the Opéra national du Rhin Strasbourg, Opéra national de Lorraine Nancy, the Opéra Royal Versailles and at the Kölner Philharmonie in Giovanni Legrenzi's La Divisione del Mondo.
