• Show Bio for Alexander Zethson "Alexander Zethson has completed the bachelor performance programme in jazz at KMH and is currently studying at the second year of the master's programme with Lisa Ullén as his primary instrument teacher. Alexander has participated in extensive concert and tour activities and has participated in fifteen record productions. The ensembles include: • Niklas Barnö's free jazz group Je Suis!• A number of tours in Europe with Martin Küchen's group Angles 9 Alexander is also active as arranger and pianist in collaboration with the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, a cooperation which began in 2011. Zethson, Sofia Jernberg and Lene Grenager has arranged music from Hallingdal and Røros performed by the TJO with Zethson, Jernberg and violinist/Hardanger fiddler Olav Luksengård Mjelva." ^ Hide Bio for Alexander Zethson • Show Bio for Ida Lovli Hidle "Ida Løvli Hidle is an accomplished Norwegian accordion soloist and chamber musician. Her debut concert in the Concert Hall of The Royal Danish Academy of Music in February 2016 received great reviews. Here she premiered the new accordion concerto "Clashes" by the Norwegian composer Erlend Skomsvoll together with The Danish Youth Ensemble. She also performed "Fachwerk" by Sofia Gubaidulina - a composer that has expressed great enthusiasm for Ida's interpretation of her works. This resulted in collaboration on the new edition of her work for solo accordion, "Et Expecto". Ida Løvli Hidle is a premiered accordionist. In 2012 she won 1st prize in the international competition for accordion soloists in Gent, Belgium, and in 2015 she won 3rd prize in the "International Competition of Bajan and Accordion Players" in Moscow. She also won the 1st prize in the chamber music category in the "International Accordion Prize" competition in Castelfidardo, Italy 2010, and several 1st prizes in national competitions like Ungdommens Musikkmesterskap" (The Youth Music Competition) and the Norwegian National Accordion Competition. She has given concerts all over the world, from China to Canada, France, Russia and Germany, and at several festivals such as Arctic Arts Festival, St. Olav Festival and Kongsberg Jazz Festival. In 2016 she received Arts Council Norway's Government Grants for Young Artists, and has worked as Kapellmeister at the Opera in Malmö on their production of Lucrezia Borgia (2016) and Carmen (2018). Ida is passionate about conveying contemporary music to a larger audiences and she often includes acting and text reading as a part of her performances. Ida Løvli Hidle's almost unlimited repertoire spans over contemporary music to folk music through tango, jazz and her own arrangements of classical repertoire. She has also composed music for children's theatre. Ida has been working with orchestras such as Enemble Allegria, Aarhus Sinfonietta, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, The Arctic Philharmonic Sinfonietta, The Danish Youth Ensemble, and she is a current member of the jazz orchestra "Skadedyr". She has specialised in the accompaniment of singers and performed with many great artists, such as Anne-Lise Berntsen, Aleksander Nohr and Lise Davidsen. Ida is also passionate about inspiring younger generations of accordionists, and is one of the founding leaders of NordAccordion - a summer course for young accordionists and accordion festival at Voss, Norway. Ida Løvli Hidle graduated with a Soloist Degree (Advanced Postgraduate Diploma) from The Royal Danish Academy with Professor Geir Draugsvoll in 2016. She has also studied at The Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing, with Professor Xiaoqing Cao, The Norwegian Academy of Music with Frode Haltli, and The Conservatory of Music in Trondheim with Øivind Farmen." ^ Hide Bio for Ida Lovli Hidle • Show Bio for Olav Lukensgard Mjelva "Olav Luksengård Mjelva comes from Røros in the Sør- Trøndelag region of Norway. He began playing the fiddle at age seven and some years later started playing the Hardanger fiddle.He is a founding member of both the Norwegian - Swedish ensemble SVER, The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc, a trio specialising in Norwegian, Swedish and Shetland fiddle music and also the Rydvall/Mjelva duo alongside Swedish Nyckelharpa player Erik Rydvall with whom they have received several awards. Lodestar Trio is the most recent project, where Erik and Olav meet the great english violinist Max Baillie. Their first album, "Bach to Folk" was released in september 2022! In addition to this he is also in Copper City Ramblers and several other projects. He has also written music for several documentaries, short movies and theater projects, and recorded for some of the greatest composers in Hollywood for movies and computer games. You can hear him in the Marvel series "Loki" (2021), Amazon´s "the Lord of The Rings- the Rings of Power" (2022) and the Playstation game "God of War - Ragnarök" (2022). In 2010 Olav received the prestigious Spelemannprisen, the Norwegian equivalent of a Grammy award for his debut solo album, and in 2011 he received the prize as part of the Unni Boksasp Ensemble. In 2013 he was also awarded the title of Norway's folk musician of the year. Olav is highly sought after as a studio musician and has played on more than 60 releases. He is also a widely used instructor and dance musician both in Norway and abroad." ^ Hide Bio for Olav Lukensgard Mjelva • Show Bio for Goran Kajfes "Goran Kajfes, born 22 June 1970 in Tyreso Assembly, is a Swedish trumpeter. Kajfeš is the son of Davor Kajfeš. Goran has worked with, among others, Eric Gadd, Stina Nordenstam, Fläskkvartetten, Kent, The Tiny, Bruno K. Öijer, Neneh Cherry, Robyn, Mando Diao, Lester Bowie, Blacknuss, Sugababes, Nicolai Dunger, Håkan Hellström, Janet Jackson, Moneybrother, Freddie Wadling, José González, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Eric Malmberg, Club Killers, Monica Zetterlund, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Eldkvarn, Matti Bye and Bo Diddley, The Thing XL, weeping willows, Cheik Lo. Solo debut Home (2000) was released on the EMI (Kaza / Blue Note) and a lot of attention for his mix of jazz and electronics. Sequel HeadSpin won a Grammy (2004). The third album, X / Y (2010) was nominated for this year's jazz album in The Independent, and was hailed around the world including magazine Mojo. He was also awarded the Nordic Music Prize for the disc. After the album was released (with his Subtropic Arkestra) The Reason Why Vol.1 (2012) and most recently, The Reason Why Vol. 2 (2014). Kajfeš is also featured in the jazz group Oddjob, together with among others Per "Ruskträsk" Johansson and Daniel Karlsson, who has released six full-length albums (Amigo Music, ACT, Headspin Recordings) and beyond that also Grammy Award winning children's album Jazzoo. He is also a member of the free jazz band Nacka Forum (Moserobie Records) with Kjell Nordeson, Jonas Kullhammar and Johan Berthling, Angles 9, Fire! Orchestra, Magnus Carlson & The Moon Ray Quintet and skabandet Jobalites. He runs the record company Headspin Recordings, with David Österberg. Kajfeš has also composed music for films and television series including Kristian Petri's The Well documentaries and feature films Details, The Mouse of Bigert Bergstrom, The Sun of Ulf Rollof, vignette music to the SVT Cobra, All wild, a film about Birgitta Stenberg, Havana Motor Club by Bent-Jorgen Perlmutt. He has written and performed music for Saw The White Buffalo Dancing with dance group Vindhäxor. Oddjob The group performed a large part of the music (composed by Matti Bye) to the hundred year old who climbed out the window and disappeared. Kajfeš produced weeping willows albums The Time Has Come, Magnus Carlson and the Moon Ray quintet and most of Titiyos album Hidden.
