"With the Sound Of Serendipity Tentet, Lucas Niggli, who has been at the forefront of Swiss-European jazz for many years, brings together some of the most exciting musicians from the local jazz and improvisation scene. Stirring music is created in a highly original playing instruction via 40 composed playing cards, implemented by this ten-member ensemble of strong personalities and the factor of chance.
And so, Play! Is a vehicle to negotiate a spectrum of composed and improvised behaviour in the form of a card game played over three rounds. "On the one hand, we hear a composition which sounds like an expansion of Lucas Niggli's musical character: mercurial, highly detailed, uncannily responsive to others, unafraid of groove. And yet on the other, I suspect that the listener familiar with the individual performers on the recording will smile to themselves at how vibrantly those performers' own individual characteristics are set into relief by Niggli's game".-Intakt

Artist Biographies
• Show Bio for Joana Maria Aderi "Joana Aderi spent her youth in a remote boarding school in central Switzerland, where she intensively studied Renaissance singing. After graduating from high school, she studied early music at the Academy of Church Music in Lucerne. Then very suddenly the urgent need to make her own music in tune with the times. Hence the move to the University of Jazz, which she ultimately completed in Trondheim, Norway with a master's degree in Performing and Composing Electronic Music. Aderi's main interest lies in the combination of electronic and human sounds and in music between improvisation and song. She has been touring internationally with her solo project EIKO since 2004. EIKO is experimental electronics where Joana uses her voice as raw material for electronic sounds. With her electro-pop band SISSY FOX she plays sweet, danceable songs that have rough edges. The courage to produce imperfectly is important to Joana Aderi. In doing so, it consciously sets an example against the over-designed, high-gloss electronics. She also plays in various bands. For example with PHALL FATALE, a quintet around drummer Fredy Studer, where she is at the front together with singer Joy Frempong (Oy). After many years abroad (Norway and Australia), Joana Aderi has been living in Zurich again since 2016." ^ Hide Bio for Joana Maria Aderi • Show Bio for Dominik Blum "Dominik Blum - pianist, keyboarder, conductor.
