ABOUT MY COMPOSTIONS - ABOUT THE WAY I DO IMPROVISE:

... I am practising in movement-structures. I am interested in the space, in which the moved takes its place, its room. Tone-walking-tours, the shifting of the substanc(es), to switch the substance in the imaginary room. -Like Samuel Beckett does it with word-pictures and rhythmizes in this way the ideas. "Stefan Krist is a free improvising musician with trombone, voice and sound objects, composer, experimental lyricist and more. In the early 1980s he started playing trombone, singing, exploring sounds and composing. Since the mid-1980s he has played countless live concerts in Vienna, Europe, the USA and China, participated in radio broadcasts and films and released recordings.

Musical collectives he has worked with include: Die Socken, Das fröhliche Wohnzimmer, Kühlraum 2, The Links, scheinweg factory, The Elks, unduo, The Gollinks, Le Duo Krist Nouveau, Lost and Sound, Ask 'em Y, East of Mozart and many more.

Julius Winter is a German guitarist living in Aigen/Schlägl. With a background in blues and rock music he has been developing his improvisation skills, in particular working with drummer Fredi Pröll.
