"Mascha Corman studied jazz at the College of Music and Dance in Cologne, as well as Deaf Pedagogy at the University of Cologne. At the university, she received lessons from Prof. Anette von Eichel and Frank Gratkowski. In 2016 she was part of private studies in New York and studied the improvisational concepts of Theo Bleckmann and Fay Victor. Mascha Corman deals with the combination of word, sound and sound, and his possibilities in composition and improvisation. Her compositions for the quartet, founded in 2012, are characterized by the combination of jazz, free improvisation and lyricism. Since 2015, Mascha Corman, together with Thea Soti, has been curating the experimental concert series HIMS , which she initiated, which explicitly deals with voice in improvisation and composition. "Singer, composer and sound artist born in Subotica (Serbia). After her classical music training as a pianist, she started to deal with jazz and popular musical styles in Budapest and later in Berlin. She studied jazz singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover and at the Jazz School in Lucerne (Switzerland)by Lauren Newton, Gerry Hemingway, Susan Abbuehl and Ed Partyka. At the moment, she is completing her Master´s Degree in Jazz-Composing at the Music Academy of Cologne.

Currently, she can be heard in her nonet "Cherry Tree Orchestra" and in the experimental, free-improvising duo with Andi Schulz (drums). Her project "Nanaya" combines traditional melodies from Hungary and rhythms of the Middle East in their own compositions. She is a founding member of "SUNG SOUND" and 2nd prize winner of the international big band composition competition JAZZCOMP GRAZ 2014."

"Saxophonist Salim Javaid was born in 1991 to a half Czech half Pakistani family in Sokolov (CZ). While in elementary school, he started to play the recorder for a couple of years before switching to the alto saxophone, and sticking to it ever since.

He worked in large ensembles and big bands as well as in small combos and as a solo artist. His award winning trio "Malstrom" (winner of the 7th European Burghausen Jazz Contest 2015) combines the density and energy of nu metal, rock and metal with the improvisational concepts and aesthetics of jazz and free improvisation. His playing is defined by microtonal concepts, extended technique and saxophone preparations.

Salim Javaid has worked with German jazz stars such as composer and saxophonist Niels Klein, Hayden Chisholm, Frank Gratkowski or world class pianist Florian Weber."
