"Christian Buck, born in Neustadt a. Rbge., Germany, received his first guitar lessons at the age of eleven. After studying at the University of Music and Drama in Hanover, he continued his education at the Lucerne School of Music in the concert class of Prof. Frank Bungarten and took part in numerous master classes, including with Sergio Assad, Manuel Barrueco, Mats Bergström and Farred Haque.

His international concert career began in 1999 and led him through Europe and South America - both as a soloist and with various ensembles. Christian Buck has been a founding member of the anemos | guitar quartet since 2003 and has received the Orpheus Award. Radio recordings in cooperation with "Radio Suisse Romande" and two CD productions so far document the work of this quartet.

Christian Buck has played at the Davos Festival, guitar festival Turku, InGuitar Winterthur and the Philharmonie Luxembourg.

Modern and contemporary works play a major role in the design of the solo programs. His involvement with contemporary music is also evident in his participation in music theater productions, some of which have won awards, and in the invitation to renowned new music festivals such as MaerzMusik, Berlin or the Eclat Festival, Stuttgart. Christian Buck has been working with the drummer Christian Wolfarth in the Duo Buck / Wolfarth since 2010. New compositions are regularly created for this duo, most recently by A. Zimmerlin.

Since 2001 he has been leading a guitar class at the Zurich Conservatory (MKZ)."

"Edu Haubensak was born in Helsinki 9. April 1954 and spent his childhood in Zurich. He then studied theory and composition with Thomas Kessler and Robert Suter at the Basle Academy of Music (1976-79). It was at this time that he wrote his first piano works ('Schwarz Weiss') and musico-scenic compositions ('Gleichgewichte', Drei Klangbilder).

He also composed electronic collages for the radio, and several works of his were realized choreographically. In the Tonhalle, the Collegium Musicum Zurich gave the world premiere of his first orchestral work, under the baton of Brenton Langbein. Haubensak is a co-founder of the Fabrikkomposition concert series at Zurich's Rote Fabrik. In 1984/85, he was awarded a scholarship to the Istituto Svizzero in Rome, and in the same year was awarded First Prize by the jury of the International Composer's Seminar in Boswil. Haubensak has taken an intense interest in instruments with new tunings. His first pieces for piano solo with altered pitches culminated in the ten-part piano cycle 'Grosse Stimmung l - X' (1989-2005). In 1994, he was awarded a one-year work grant by the City of Zurich. He also attended composition courses and masterclasses with Heinz Holliger and Klaus Huber. In 2006 he won the Zollikon Arts Prize. He has been invited to international festivals (such as MaerzMusik Berlin, Klangspuren Tirol Austria, Festival Rümlingen, ZeitRäumeBasel) and has given lectures, taught, and engaged in research projects, sound installations and conceptual compositions. He has published various essays in DU, in WERK, POSITIONS and in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. In 2010, he is a scholar of the cultural foundation Landis & Gyr in London.

"Tomas Korber, born in 1979 , is a guitarist, composer and improviser from Zürich, Switzerland who has appeared on an impressive array of releases both solo and with playing partners including Toshimaru Nakamura, Günter Müller, Otomo Yoshihide, dieb13, eRikm, Jason Kahn, Keith Rowe, Dan Warburton and Mersault, his working trio with Christian Weber and Christian Wolfarth. I asked several of these collaborators what qualities stand out in making music with Korber. Kahn remarked on his listening acumen. Weber, the bassist for the past three years with Mersault, said he has "an uncompromising focus on the music," and remains committed to "taking risks and the use of very different forms." Korber's work indeed has an impressive range and scope, characterized by both a high degree of malleability and the clear presence of recurring sonic elements, very much his own sound."
